The prosperity gospel is far more nefarious than just believing that God will grant you health and wealth if you have enough faith. The prosperity gospel is a wholly paganized counterfeit Christianity that is steeped in the idolatry of self and greed. With that comes the notion that even the Scriptures themselves are about you. They are not, they are about God — and the characters in the Scriptures are there to glorify God.

Steven Furtick, a world-class false prophet based out of Elevation Church in Charlotte, NC, says that his family loves prosperity huckster, anti-Trinitarian false prophet T.D. Jakes so much that his kids think he wrote parts of the Bible.

Of the worst of these self-idolizing narcissistic prosperity gospel preachers are Steven Furtick and T.D. Jakes. Both of them have embraced the anti-Trinitarian heresy known as modalism.

Modalism is the false theological doctrine that the members of the Trinity are not three distinct persons but rather three “modes” or “manifestations” of activity (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) under which God manifests himself. The official statement of faith on Jakes’s church website reads:

There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three manifestations: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

They embrace these false doctrines because they cannot wrap their heads around God’s revelation of Himself in Scripture — because the Scriptures, to them, are not about God. To them, the Scriptures are about themselves, what they can accomplish, and how they can increase their own health and wealth. To them, God is nothing more than a genie in a bottle.

This is why T.D. Jakes sees no problem with teaming up with a Cult of Scientology member, Grant Cardone, for a mega-money prosperity gospel conference. In fact, Jakes will be joining an entire host of pagans to blaspheme the true and living God while worshiping their god of Mammen at the Path to Prosperity Conference in Hollywood, FL this week.

According to his own bio on his website, “Grant Cardone Scientologist is a Miami-based Scientologist, entrepreneur, business owner, New York Times best-selling author and noted philanthropist,” who currently “serves as CEO at several privately-held companies, including Cardone Capital, Cardone Enterprises, Cardone Training Technologies, and Cardone University.” In fact, his bio goes on to make sure that the reader knows that Cardone is a Scientologist by pointing it out 21 times: Grant Cardone a proud Scientologist.

Scientology is essentially a spiritualized form of Freudian pop psychology that teaches that life is what you make out of it. It focuses on understanding and teaching people how to make “rational” and “pleasurable” decisions in life that lead to survival. Scientology also teaches that a dysfunctional mind leads to irrational decisions that can shorten the lifespan and even carry over into re-incarnated lives. This is obviously at odds with basic Christian teaching, but again, T.D. Jakes isn’t about Christian teaching. For Jakes, Christianity is just a launching pad for his heretical ideology of prosperity.
