One of the major recent developments in the Evangelical Church today is a movement to build bridges between people with opposing views on issues. A primary proponent of that movement is a group called the And Campaign. The And Campaign says they seek to promote civic and community engagement in a way that “reflects Jesus Christ.”

But is this what Jesus came to do? Here is what Jesus said he came to do…

“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” –Matthew 10:34

After making a defense for Christians voting for far-left pro-abortion pro-homosexual Raphael Warnock in the name of “racial justice,” Justin Giboney of the And Campaign recently wrote in an article at Christianity Today that “Civil dialogue and political compromise are left to the naïve.” He continued, “But in this time of great division and belligerence, the church must choose the opposite reaction. We must be peacemakers, especially when it comes to race and politics.”

He then goes on to explain what he believes “biblical peacemaking” is: “Biblical peace is shalom, meaning completeness, well-being, and right relationship with God and each other.”

He’s right. What he leaves out, however, is that those who oppose God — i.e. murder babies, advance queer ideology, and hinder the Church from worshiping God — are not in a right relationship with God. This continued nonsense about white people not caring about the well-being of black people is beyond absurd. It’s such a stupid and tired argument that hardly anyone listens to it anymore, thankfully. But, by leftists, it’s still used as an excuse to vote for Democrats.

“Silence or inaction amid grave partiality and inequality is not peace,” he cries out on his keyboard. “When we mute the poor or rob the victim of voice, we deny peace.”

Except, nobody — literally, nobody — does that.

Here’s the truth. Democrats and those who support Democrats are not at peace with God. God does not make peace with his enemies. Therefore, we should not make peace with them either. That isn’t to say that we shouldn’t live peaceably among them–we should. But to make peace with them as though we believe that they — murderers, sexually immoral, idolaters, and particularly, those who pervert the pulpit — are somehow right with God and His Church is unacceptable.

Jesus told us to love our enemies, but they are still our enemies. They are not our friends. We are called to destroy their worldview: We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Nobody can read the Bible and come away with the conclusion that God is okay with leftism. Nobody can read the Bible and come away with the notion that God is cool with voting for a Democrat who supports abortion and homosexuality so long as they promise to enact affirmative action laws and pay reparations to non-white people (i.e. theft and partiality). It’s absurd. It’s nonsense.

Do us all a favor and if you’re a Democrat, a progressive leftists, or a liberal, stop calling yourself a Christian. You are an enemy of God and God is not going to make peace with you.
