Stephen “Steph” Curry was once the golden boy of college basketball, captivating fans with his electric play at Davidson College and propelling the team into a Cinderella run during the NCAA tournament. As the son of former NBA Charlotte Hornets player Dell Curry, he was born into the sport, destined for greatness—or so it seemed.

He rode that legacy into the NBA, where his career with the Golden State Warriors took off, transforming him into a global sports icon. But somewhere along the way, something darker emerged behind that shimmering smile and that deadly three-point shot. The same player who used to point to the sky after every big shot—an outward sign of his supposed devotion to God—has now traded in his moral compass for political expediency.

While living in Charlotte, Curry attended Central Church of God, a conservative Pentecostal Church where, at least outwardly, he aligned himself with the values that church claimed to uphold…biblical truth, the sanctity of life, and reverence for God’s commands.

But today, the only thing Curry reveres is his own influence. Sure, he still claims to be a Christian, but let’s be clear, words are cheap. Just as cheap as the moral compromises he’s made. He’ll nod toward his faith when it’s convenient—perhaps to keep up appearances with his Christian fan base—but when push comes to shove, Curry has shown what really matters to him, the applause of the world, the approval of the cultural elite, and, apparently, abortion rights.

In a recent interview following his appearance at the Democratic National Convention, Curry made it crystal clear where his priorities lie. He publicly endorsed Kamala Harris, a staunch advocate for abortion, and he didn’t just stop there. He doubled down, putting abortion—or as he likes to call it, “women’s rights”—at the top of his list of reasons for throwing his weight behind Harris.

Let’s not overlook what he’s saying in that interview: “I just know from, especially women’s rights and thinking about, you know, what’s at stake with this election… we need to be in a position where women have the right to choose what’s right for them, and that’s at the top of the list for me.”

At the top of the list? The right to murder unborn children is at the top of his list for what this country needs to move forward? How tragic. How hypocritical. How utterly shameful.

One has to wonder, how does someone who claims to follow Christ—who claims to be part of a faith that upholds the sanctity of life—end up advocating for one of the most heinous practices imaginable?

How can you stand there, Steph, in all your moral grandeur, and tell the world that snuffing out the lives of the most innocent is somehow progress? Do you think God is impressed with your assists on the basketball court while you assist in pushing the agenda of death?

It’s like watching someone polish a trophy while standing in a room full of broken glass—they’re proud of their shine but oblivious to the death and destruction they’re standing on.

It’s not just that Curry supports Kamala Harris. It’s that he is actively promoting her for being a champion of everything the Bible stands against. And he has the arrogance to act like he’s doing the world a favor, framing this as a discussion about being “decent human beings.”

Since when did decency involve the blood of the unborn? Since when did “moving our country forward” require us to leave millions of innocent lives in the dust?

Curry, the basketball star, might be able to sink three-pointers from half-court, but when it comes to sinking into hypocrisy, he’s hit nothing but net. The same man who once praised his faith now uses his platform to advocate for what can only be described as state-sanctioned murder. And yet, he thinks he’s the one with the moral high ground.

Does he really believe that God is pleased with his exchange? It seems Curry’s real “talent” these days is selling out—not just on the court but in his soul. He’s proven that no matter how many crosses he might wear around his neck, the real cross he’s carrying is the one built by the culture he panders to. In the end, it’s not Curry’s jump shot that will be remembered—but his moral fall from grace.
