Kamala Harris’ Possible VP Picks: Who Exactly is Roy Cooper?

In the wake of President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race, speculation has mounted about his potential successors. Among the most discussed candidates is North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, rumored to be a leading contender for Vice President on a Harris-Cooper ticket.

The mainstream media, in its usual fashion, attempts to paint Cooper as a mild-mannered, level-headed center-leftist. But having lived under his draconian rule here in North Carolina, I can assure you that the reality is far more troubling.

Roy Cooper is no benign moderate—he is a draconian socialist tyrant who believes himself to be above the law. His policy decisions and strong-arm tactics have left a trail of destruction across our state.

Thankfully, he’s now a lame duck with a Republican veto-proof majority to keep his worst impulses in check.

Cooper’s tenure as governor has been marked by a series of heavy-handed mandates and executive orders, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. He imposed sweeping mask mandates and social distancing requirements, always without regard for the actual data.

Even when the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) dropped their mask recommendations, Cooper’s sycophants urged him to maintain the mandate indefinitely, showcasing his disregard for personal freedoms. Like all Democrat governors, his rules were not based on science but on a desire to control and dictate the lives of North Carolinians.

One of the most egregious examples of Cooper’s authoritarianism was his decision to fast-track the release of 3,500 prisoners during the pandemic, caving to pressure from the NAACP. To normal people, such a move was recognized as an endangering of the public and demonstrated his willingness to prioritize political correctness over the well-being of law-abiding citizens.

Cooper’s administration claimed this was to protect inmates from COVID-19, but it was a transparent attempt to appease leftist activists at the expense of community safety.

Cooper’s tyrannical tendencies are not confined to his handling of the pandemic. His veto of the school reopening bill in early 2021 was a blatant bow to teachers’ unions, ignoring the educational and mental health needs of children.

Despite bipartisan support for the bill, Cooper chose to prioritize union demands over the needs of students, showing his true allegiance to leftist interest groups.

Furthermore, Cooper’s extreme pro-abortion stance cannot be ignored. He vetoed the North Carolina Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, effectively allowing the murder of infants who survive abortion attempts. This aligned him with the most radical pro-abortion activists in the history of the state, revealing a disturbing disregard for human life.

Cooper’s approach to LGBTQ issues is equally radical. His policies have consistently supported the most extreme aspects of the LGBTQ agenda, often at the expense of religious freedoms and parental rights. His administration has pushed for gender identity policies in schools that allow biological males to compete in female sports and access female restrooms, undermining the safety and fairness for women and girls.

But perhaps the most alarming aspect of Cooper’s reign is his blatant anti-Christian sentiment. During the pandemic, Cooper attempted to spread the lie that Christians were responsible for the spread of COVID-19. He publicly blamed church gatherings for the virus’s spread, despite a lack of any actual evidence to support such claims.

This scapegoating of Christians is reminiscent of historical attempts to marginalize and persecute religious groups and reveals Cooper’s willingness to trample on religious freedoms to advance his political agenda.

Imagine Cooper, like a cigarette that seems harmless enough at first but slowly poisons you over time. He mandates masks for everyone else but marches maskless with BLM protesters, defying his own executive orders, when it’s politically convenient.

Church’s couldn’t gather, but rioters could.

Just remember—this is the same man who unilaterally decided which businesses were essential and which weren’t, leaving many small businesses to die on the vine while his preferred corporations thrived.

In essence, Cooper is far from the moderate centrist the media portrays him to be. His tenure as governor has been marked by draconian mandates, a blatant disregard for individual freedoms, extreme pro-abortion and pro-LGBTQ policies, and a disturbing anti-Christian agenda.

As the possibility of a Harris-Cooper ticket looms on the horizon, it is essential for the American people to see Cooper for what he truly is—a tyrant who believes himself to be above the law, willing to sacrifice the rights and safety of citizens to further his radical socialist agenda.

Is Roy Cooper Gavin Newsome Lite? No. He’s worse. At least with Newsom, you know what you get. With Cooper, he masquerades as a kitten when in reality, he’s a snake.
