Christmas Brawl at Waffle House Demonstrates Depraved State of Mankind Due to Lack of Respect for God

There is no denying that the moral decline of our nation is a direct result of a lack of reverence and respect for the Holy and Righteous Creator God. This absence of devotion to the divine is the primary contributor to the downward spiral that our nation is experiencing.

The recent increase in hate and disregard for the lives of others is a deeply troubling trend that we are witnessing. Incidents of violence, including fights, shootings, and brawls, are occurring at an alarming rate. As Romans 1:28 states, “And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.”

The recent brawl over the Christmas holiday at a Waffle House in Georgie, where customers argued with staff, physically fought them and even threw chairs, is a prime example of this lack of respect and self-respect. This type of behavior is foolish, selfish, and goes against the teachings of Christ. It is imperative that we take action to address this disturbing trend and promote love and respect for all people.

It is crucial that the church recognizes this trend and realizes that the only solution to the moral decay we are facing is the gospel. While we may encounter increasing hostility towards God in the future, we can rest assured that as part of the Kingdom of God, our faith and knowledge of ultimate justice will sustain us.

Consumerism and the Worship of Worship

Somewhere along the way, the church stopped asking how God wants to be worshiped and started asking what people will show up for. We have spent decades perfecting an experience God never commanded. Not because our doctrinal statements changed. They often haven’t. Not...
