David Platt Continues to Tank as He Joins Rank Heretics for Another Conference in 2022

Earlier this month, Reformation Charlotte reported that David Platt, pastor of the once-thriving-but-now-failing because of his obsession with race and social justice, McLean Bible Church in the D.C. area, is joining with the founders of the “gay Christian” conference to advance more social justice ideas in the Church. In that conference is Revoice founder, Preston Sprinkle, lesbian Jackie Hill Perry, and denier of the existence of Hell, Chris Date.

Lest you think that Platt’s association with these heretics is just a one-off and he’s only going “preach the gospel” and “rebuke the heresy” to that audience, just remember that David Platt has never done that. In fact, Platt, who used to be pretty solid on biblical teachings, has in recent years handed his followers over to wolves like these numerous times.

David Platt does not and has not ever publicly rebuked a heretic–he has only ever complained about those who point out the heresy as though they were the real problem.

Platt’s latest tryst with heretics will take place in January 2022 and he will be joining more heretics–as bad if not worse than the “gay Christian” heretics–for Louie Giglio’s Passion 2022. Normally, John Piper would attend these conferences lending his approval to the heretical movement. However, Piper has not made an appearance in the last couple of years. I guess it’s safe to say that David Platt is replacing John Piper as the bridge to mainstream Evangelicalism at this heresy conference.

The conference will also feature Word of Faith heretic, Christine Caine, a female pastor who was raised up out of the heretical Hillsong movement. The conference will feature several musicians out of Robert Morris’ prosperity gospel church, Gateway Church, including Cody Carnes and Kari Jobe–Jobe is known for sexualizing her relationship with Christ through her music as well as teaching dangerous, false theology.

The conference will also feature Jackie Hill Perry, a lesbian who raps and gives graphic details about her sexual encounters with other women.

And also in the line-up is Levi Lusko, a Steven Furtick clone who preaches a twisted prosperity gospel and reads himself into the text. Lusko is the pastor of a church called Skull Church; its logo is a skull and the church seems to be extremely obsessed with death.

And, of course, Loui Giglio himself will be there as he is the founder and host of the conference. Giglio is a proponent of a popular heresy among charismatic false teachers known as little-god theology–the belief that we as humans carry within us the potential to become God, or divine, like God. This is not only a heresy found among charismatics, however, but it is also the underlying teaching of Mormonism–that our future as believers are to partake in the divinity of God and become gods ourselves.

So why is David Platt continually joining up with these people? Has David Platt no discernment or is he simply unaware that these people are all false teachers, false prophets, and false apostles? Neither is likely, at this point. It seems as though Platt is making himself a new home among the wolves who prey on sheep.

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? –2 Corinthians 6:14-16

Check Out the New “Jesus Mecha Christ” “Transformer” Toy

A transforming Christ-meets-mecha toy? Yes, the “Jesus Mecha Christ” transforming toy actually exists. It's like someone sat down and said, “How can I mock both God and basic decency in one fell swoop?” This isn’t art or satire—it’s an abomination born from the unholy...
