Most Southern Baptists Believe Neo-Confederates Bigger Threat Than Critical Race Theory

The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) has redefined itself from a conservative denomination that was centered on the gospel and biblical truth to a denomination that is now largely focused on social justice and and correcting the social ills of society. The SBC has officially embraced and replaced the gospel with Critical Race Theory and has now made “systemic racism” — the ultimate evil that must be eradicated from the planet — its central mission.

Critical Race Theory (CRT) is a heretical worldview that is incompatible with biblical Christianity. It emerged as an offshoot of Critical Theory, a neo-Marxist philosophy that has its roots in the Frankfurt School and its methods are drawn from Karl Marx and Sigmund Freud. CRT teaches that institutional racism exists within every structure of society and that these structures are intrinsically designed in such a manner as to protect and preserve “white supremacy” in our culture. Further, CRT does not rely on factual statistics or objective evidence to support the theory, rather it relies on anecdotal evidence and personal experience.

Despite the official, denominationally-sanctioned exchange of truth for a lie, most Southern Baptist leaders still don’t see this as a problem. In fact, most Southern Baptists see “neo-Confederate networks” as a bigger problem. While actual racism and actual white supremacy is rooted in sin, what these leftists have redefined as “white supremacy” is actually nothing more than conservatism that rejects socialism and the progressive theological and political influx into the Church and society.

A recent poll on Twitter which has garnered at the time of this writing nearly three-thousand votes suggests that the vast majority of Southern Baptists are far less concerned with the influx of leftist thought in the Church and more concerned about people who believe in state’s rights. Currently, 56 percent are more concerned with “neo-Confederate network.”
