CRU Speaker Has Stadium of White People Get Up and Lament Their Skin Color

Social justice is the new Evangelical gospel. Social justice is not new, but it is a relatively new phenomenon sweeping the Evangelical Church as a whole. The social justice gospel — which could also be rightly defined as the gospel of envy — has an inherent focus on intersectionality, namely, skin color, gender, and sexuality.

The primary focus of the Evangelical social justice gospel at this early stage is racialism. An entire narrative, built on the secular foundations of Critical Race Theory, has been constructed to convince the Church that the world, America, and the Church are riddled with white supremacy, systemic racism, and racial injustice and the primary end goal is to completely tear down modern society as we know it.

Critical Race Theory (CRT) emerged as an offshoot of Critical Theory, a neo-Marxist philosophy that has its roots in the Frankfurt School and its methods are drawn from Karl Marx and Sigmund Freud. CRT teaches that institutional racism exists within every structure of society and that these structures are intrinsically designed in such a manner as to protect and preserve “white supremacy” in our culture. Further, CRT does not rely on factual statistics or objective evidence to support the theory, rather it relies on anecdotal evidence and personal experience.

CRU, formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ and a historically conservative mission-oriented organization, has fully jumped on the board the Evangelical social justice bandwagon. We previously reported on CRU’s departure from sound biblical theology where it applies to sexuality — CRU has embraced the LGBTQ narrative and now teaches that it is okay to be gay and Christian.

Now, another video has surfaced of a CRU event whereby a social justice speaker, Latasha Morrison, preaches an entire sermon which indicts an entire ethnic group — white people — of racial sin based solely on the virtue of their skin color. She then, at the end of her sermon, has the entire audience which is predominantly white stand up and repeat a lamentation of guilt. She asks them to acknowledge their sin of “complicity” in systemic racism and their lack of “doing justice.”

Latasha Morrison is a close associate of Ekemini Uwan, the woman who gave an anti-white speech at the Sparrow women’s conference last March. Uwan was infamously quoted saying, “whiteness is wickedness” causing a large number of people to get up and walk out of the conference. Morrison is an apologist for this kind of rhetoric.

The entire thing is fascinating to watch, and you can watch the entire sermon here. However, you can watch the clip of the white lamentation that Morrison led them in below.

Speaking the Truth in Lust

Speaking the Truth in Lust

It’s the darling phrase of modern Evangelicalism—trotted out with breathless solemnity every time someone dares to speak a hard truth too plainly: “We must speak the truth in love.” Four little words. A verse fragment. A harmless butterfly of a phrase that, somewhere...

Planned Parenthood Shouldn’t Be Defunded, but the ERLC Should Be

I just read an “explainer” article by the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) published in the Christian Index, and to no one's surprise, it’s exactly what we’ve come to expect from the Southern Baptist Convention’s well-funded public relations...

Surrogacy is The Childless Gospel of the Left

I ran across a tweet the other day that lodged itself in my mind like a thorn. It was from Genevieve Gluck, a name that occasionally floats across the radar of gender-critical feminism, usually sounding some kind of alarm about the degradation of womanhood at the...

A Response to Twitter Thread on Capital Punishment for Abortions

It started, as these things often do, with a simple question. A seemingly nice lady on Twitter—yet a representative of the typical emotionally charged illogical reasoning of the mainstream pro-life movement—wanted to know how I think my church should handle a woman in...

False Teacher of the Day #59: Kathryn Krick

While we here at The Dissenter along with other discernment ministries have been sounding the alarm on her for some time, any False Teacher of the Day series would be woefully incomplete without a full expose on “Apostle” Kathryn Krick. After all, this self-styled...
