It is no secret that the secular world is against Christ. Right now, the world stands with homosexuals, transgenders, and abortionists. But God opposes them. Jesus said, “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.”

This couldn’t be more true today in a world that flaunts self-idolatry and self-fulfillment. The worship of self and personal self-interests is the foremost religion of today. And anything that stands in the way of this will be plowed over by the world’s silencing machine.

Recently, a group of conservative Christians held a conference that promoted biblical values and truth in regards to homosexuality. The videos were hosted on Fairview Baptist Church of Edmond, Oklahoma’s Vimeo page. Citing a breach of terms of service, Janet Mefferd reported that only were the videos of the conference taken down, but all of the sermons from that church that were hosted there. You can see a copy of the notice sent to Fairview’s account below:

Mefferd explains that this is a “blatant admission of Vimeo view point discrimination.” It is against Vimeo’s policy to allow any content that they deem to promote “sexual orientation change efforts,” (read biblical morality). This is the onslaught that Christians are going to have to face in the coming years. It will only get worse, as not only private companies that hold the exclusive rights to the most frequented public engagement forums, but governments around the world are cracking down on free speech as well.

Heresy of the Day #24: Generational Curses

I recently saw a video clip of false teacher Kathryn Krick claiming to free a woman of the “generational curses” of abuse, and it was difficult to watch. The woman was obviously hurt, sad, and noticeably emotional. And here was Krick, exploiting this poor woman for...

How to Identify the Heresy of Statism in Your Church

Remember COVID? Remember the evangelical talking heads—Russell Moore, David French, Ed Stetzer—aggressively pushing us to “love our neighbors” by wearing dirty face masks? Doubled up, maybe. Telling us that we must “do the right thing” by risking our own lives,...

Can We Get Over John Piper Already?

It seems that over the last several years, Evangelicalism has taken a sharp turn in leadership, leaving many empty chairs that were once filled with prominent voices. I think this turn started in 2017 when we lost R.C. Sproul. He was a voice the church looked to for...

Consumerism and the Worship of Worship

Somewhere along the way, the church stopped asking how God wants to be worshiped and started asking what people will show up for. We have spent decades perfecting an experience God never commanded. Not because our doctrinal statements changed. They often haven’t. Not...

False Teacher of the Day #61: Isaiah Saldivar

There is a new generation of celebrity preachers rising through YouTube algorithms instead of seminaries, podcasts instead of pulpits, and viral clips instead of faithful local church ministry. Every few years another one appears. He speaks with certainty. He tells...
