The left is good at calling conservatives “racist.” The mantra has been repeated so many times that even they begin to believe it themselves. But, in the words of Gerson, the “soft bigotry of lower expectations” lives on in the left.

Joe Biden, in his “town hall” platformed by CNN recently argued that Blacks and Hispanics need extra hand-holding to receive the COVID-19 vaccine because there are many of them who don’t know how to use the Internet.

Last October, Biden put his foot in his mouth when he said that he was able to stay home during the pandemic because black women kept the grocery store shelves stocked. He also made headlines when he contended that “unlike African Americans,” Hispanics were diverse and could think for themselves — a comment that was in line with his assertion that if you didn’t vote for him, “you ain’t black.”
