If there has been a more blatant example of Matthew 19:24 being played out in modern times than the Furtick family, I’ve not seen it. Jesus’s words were clear, “it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” It’s one thing to cover your expenses, but when you’re bilking your followers for millions of dollars by preaching a false, ear-tickling gospel, one must ask who are what you really serve: God or Mammon?

On his upcoming preaching tour, Steven Furtick is selling tickets to the tune of hundreds of dollars each—just to be able to sit in his presence and hear him preach a false gospel.

Some tickets, which all appear to be sold out at this point, have been seen to be selling for over 400 dollars each. EACH.

It’s hard to fathom why anyone would want to spend that kind of money for a single night of shallow preaching, false doctrine, and basically an emotional high with cheesy music. Clearly, people will be there to worship their god.

Steven Furtick is a perfect example of what Jude tells us in verse 12, “These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots.” Just as clouds without rain are useless for providing the nourishment that crops need, false teachers who promise spiritual nourishment but do not deliver are useless for the spiritual growth of their followers.

Steven Furtick has been hand-crafted by his mentor, Trinity-denier, T.D. Jakes has been the motivation and inspiration for his style of self-help preaching. Whether it be Furtick saying that God will bless your sins, denying God’s sovereignty over man, lying about baptism numbers, hosting a non-Trinitarian fraud at his church, claiming that Jesus sinned, saying that , or comparing Jesus to a gay rapper, there is no doubt that Furtick’s theological understanding of God is severely lacking.
