T.D. Jakes is the founder and senior pastor of one of the largest churches in the nation, The Potter’s House, in Dallas, TX. Jakes is a well-known prosperity gospel preacher who has embraced not only the heresy of the Word of Faith movement but also a heretical view of the trinity known as modalism.

The Prosperity Gospel–also known as “Health and Wealth Gospel,” “Name it and Claim it,” and “Word of Faith”–is a perversion of the biblical gospel that teaches that the primary purpose of Jesus’ death and resurrection is to create material gain for those who have enough “faith.” Other prominent adherents to this false gospel are found primarily in the charismatic movement and include prominent figures such as Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, and Joel Osteen.

As we’ve repeated over and over, this false movement exists for the sole purpose of making money. It’s why Jakes is not only a prosperity charlatan but he’s also gone out of his way to keep his circle of colleagues in the business with him. A few years ago, Jakes laid hands on former Joel Osteen associate, John Gray, who cheated on his wife as he bought her hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gifts including a Lamborghini in order to appease her, and “anointed him” with oil.

Jakes also once gave his fellow charlatan, Steven Furtick, a bronze statue of David because, Jakes said, the giant was “under his feet.” In return, Furtick claps and cheers as Jakes sexually degrades his wife from the pulpit and Furtick says his kids believe that Jakes wrote parts of the Bible. These men are unshaken by the fame and notoriety brought upon themselves in the name of Christ—they have surely received their reward now.

Just last week, Jakes preached a sermon complaining about how bad inflation is right after he invited a far-left liberal pro-inflation pro-abortion pro-LGBTQ political clown to speak at his church. Now, in a recently surfaced video, this blasphemer, T.D. Jakes leads everyone in a prayer of self-affirmation and encourages everyone to repeat a creepy mantra of “I’ve got this” while self-hugging and rocking back and forth.

“The courage you need to survive must come from within you,” Jakes said. “When it doesn’t come from around you, it must come from within you.”

“You’re not a grown woman until you learn how to encourage yourself,” he continued. “I don’t care how old you are, but until you’ve gone through something that stripped you of all other resources and backed you in a corner where you had to come fighting out of there and say, ‘I will not die today, tell hell you’re a liar, I’m getting back up. If I gotta crawl on my knees, if I got to take one step at a time, if I have to push myself, if I have to roll in a wheelchair, if I have to walk on a walker, if I have to get on crutches and hop, I will not die right here.”

But here’s where it gets really creepy. He then tells gives examples to the audience of how they can affirm and encourage themselves. “I’ll encourage myself, I’m taking myself out to dinner. I’m gonna be my valentine. You’re not going to help me. I’m gonna be my own valentine…If the kids don’t bring you no roses, get yourself some roses. If they don’t send you no card, get yourself a card. Encourage yourself!”

“I want you to do something right now. I want you to throw your arms around yourself and hug yourself,” he continued. “I want you to rock from side to side and say I got you, I got you.”

“In the season you’re in your life, hug yourself and say, ‘I got you. I got you.’ You’re gonna get through this. Your heart is broken but I got you. Your feelings are crushed, but I got you. Your home is in shambles, but I got you. Your house is on fire, but I got you. Squeeze yourself and say I got you.”

Bethel’s Glitter Bomb Finally Went Off — And It Reeks

It’s a strange kind of grief—not the grief of surprise, but the grief of confirmation. The kind where you’ve been standing on the train tracks for years, waving both arms, shouting that the light in the distance isn’t the sunrise, it’s a locomotive—and then one day...

Transvestite State Rep Calls on Activists to Storm More Churches

Last Sunday at Cities Church in St. Paul, a pack of Antifa activists barged into the sanctuary, interrupted worship, and chanted anti-ICE slogans while congregants sat confused or walked out. Their target was a pastor they accused of being a field ICE director. That’s...
