A few years ago, Adam Philips, the pastor of Christ Church in Portland Oregon announced that his church would be open and welcoming to homosexuals. Embracing the Matthew Vines “gay Christianity” movement, the church began its slow, years-long death culminating in its final burial just a few weeks ago.

In a video on Facebook seven years ago, Phillips explained that the Evangelical Covenant Church denomination decided to kick his church out over its embrace of sodomy.

“I once believed that fully welcoming and including the LGBTQ community into our churches could not be reconciled with Christian teaching,” Phillips said. “These beliefs began to change, however, once I encountered good, faithful, Jesus followers who happened to be gay.”

Of course, it wasn’t Scripture that changed his mind, but the cunning practice of false prophets like Matthew Vines who led him and his church astray.

Then, two years ago, the pastor released another video explaining that the doors of his synagogue of Satan were closing.

“We’ve been churching here in the city of Portland, Oregon for seven years,” Phillips said, “and it is with deep sadness and lament that I announce that we are closing operations on June 30th.”
