Meg Clark, a “pastor” at The Table Church in Washington, D.C., explains that Paul couldn’t have been talking about LGBTQ people in Romans 1 because he didn’t have Twitter or social media to form his opinion on sexuality in that context. Clark says that in the context of the time of Paul’s writing, he must have been referencing pedophilia and men who desire to be in a passive sexual role because that was the only thing Paul would have known about in that time.

Interestingly, as she explains that Paul actually isn’t against homosexuality in Romans 1, she reads the passage “claiming to be wise, they became fools,” and it completely misses her that this is exactly what she’s doing at this exact moment in time.
