In a shocking announcement on the Mancow Muller Show, Mancow, an attendee of Harvest, reported that James MacDonald, according to his elders that contacted him, has been fired from Harvest Bible Chapel.
In January, after MacDonald dropped a bogus defamation lawsuit against his former church member, Julie Roys, it was reported that MacDonald was taking an “indefinite sabbatical” while the megachurch he founded worked things out.
Yesterday, in a subpoenaed text, MacDonald admitted to taking money from Harvest Fellowship — a church planting network — and using it for purposes unbeknownst to his donors.
Mancow suggested that Harvest Bible Chapel was a cult because its members were there to follow James rather than Jesus Christ, he says, “in my opinion, he’s a cult leader. And I saw behind the curtain at that Oz, believe me.”

I don’t think he’s a good preacher. He’d be a good used car salesman. I’d hire him to sell radio sales. But I’m not willing to reveal what I have, if it had gone on, if the cult had continued under his devious ways, I would have revealed some things and I would have done it slowly. I’ve got six months to a year worth of stuff…I think he’s an incredible speaker, and an incredible narcissist, and for lack of a better word, I think he’s a thief.
During Mancow’s commentary today, Mancow alleged that at some point, according to sources close to him that he trusted, MacDonald had threatened to plant child pornography on his computer.
I would say no, of course, it didn’t shake my faith, and that would be for the radio. But if the mics were not on, I’d say it’s had an effect on my faith you wouldn’t believe. Because I don’t know that I believe … that he believes. In fact, I don’t think he believes any of it. I don’t think a man that believes like James MacDonald believes in Jesus or the Bible or any of it. I think it’s just a bunch of crap to him, and I think he uses the book to manipulate people, and he does it brilliantly.
