Why Would Leftists Like David French NOT Want Criminal Gangs to be Deported?

Imagine for a moment that, and I know this is very unlikely. But imagine that you took the advice of the “urban mandate” hypocrites. You know, the ones, like Tim Keller, who live(d) in high-security condos, gated communities, etc. who are always lecturing us about how it’s sinful not to plant our lives and our families in the middle of run-down rat-infested neighborhoods because of some “mandate” they’ve made up and slapped a Christian mission label on it.

Now, imagine you’re walking down your neighborhood street, the same street where your kids ride their bikes and your neighbor waves from his front porch. And imagine that just a few blocks over, in a run-down apartment complex shielded by bureaucratic neglect and progressive compassion, a cartel-affiliated gang is operating with impunity, smuggling fentanyl, trafficking children, and murdering the innocent—all under the benevolent gaze of the woke ruling class.

That’s not a dystopian novel. That’s America under the stewardship of radical leftists and enabled by men like Chief Justice John Roberts and his ever-loyal scribes, like David French. The latest controversy surrounding Roberts’ pronouncement against judicial impeachment isn’t about protecting the Constitution—it’s about protecting the left’s golden goose: mass, unvetted migration and the societal collapse it ensures.

The issue at hand? An Obama-appointed judge’s refusal to allow the deportation of known Venezuelan gang members despite a lower court ruling demanding it. Now, these aren’t wayward teenagers shoplifting energy drinks, these are hardened criminals, many associated with the infamous Tren de Aragua cartel, a violent Venezuelan gang that has metastasized across South America and is now infecting U.S. cities.

They traffic women and children like livestock, pump deadly fentanyl into the bloodstream of America’s youth, and slaughter anyone who dares challenge their reign of terror.

But instead of siding with law and order, the judiciary—those black-robed bureaucrats—decided that enforcing immigration law was a bridge too far. When President Trump, seeing the insanity for what it is, called for the impeachment of the judge responsible for blocking these deportations, Roberts rushed to the defense of his colleague. Because, of course, impeachment isn’t for activist judges who bend the law to protect cartel operatives—it’s only for duly elected presidents who threaten the hegemony of the state-worshiping elite.

Enter David French, professional hand-wringer and perennial apologist for whatever leftist assault is currently being waged against American sovereignty. French, ever eager to remind conservatives of their civic duty to surrender, rushed to the defense of Roberts with a proclamation so devoid of self-awareness it might as well have been written by ChatGPT with a New York Times subscription.

“The judiciary does not answer to the president,” he chirps, as if Trump were demanding personal fealty rather than the enforcement of immigration laws passed by Congress. But let’s ask the questions French and his colleagues refuse to answer:

Why in the world would someone not want terrorist gang members deported? What possible reason could there be to allow these violent thugs to remain on American soil?

The answer is both simple and terrifying. Men like French, Russell Moore, Ray Ortlund, and the rest of the effeminate, state-worshiping faux Christian elite are not neutral arbiters of principle. They are ideological zealots. Their loyalty is not to America, nor to its laws, nor to the safety of its citizens—and it certainly isn’t to Christ.

Their loyalty is to their idol, the progressive state.

A pastor once told me, if you want to see if someone is worshiping an idol, speak ill of their idol and see how they react. Watch how these men defend open borders with the zeal of a televangelist protecting his private jet. Watch how they will stop at absolutely nothing—not even the wholesale trafficking of children—to advance their political goals.

This is the endgame. The great project of the progressive elite is not charity, compassion, or justice. It is destabilization. They want an endless, unrelenting wave of illegal immigration because it serves their greater objective…the dismantling of the conservative movement, the weakening of the American nation, and the absolute subjugation of any group that might stand in the way of their radical agenda.

They don’t just want amnesty—they want anarchy. They don’t just want immigration—they want invasion. Because an America filled to the brim with cartel enforcers and fentanyl runners is an America too chaotic to resist their rule.

And make no mistake, they hate you. They hate that you still believe in borders, in law and order, in protecting your family from the wolves they’re importing by the thousands. They hate that you’re not willing to bow before their golden idol of state control.

So, they will lie. They will manipulate. They will tell you that deporting violent criminals is racist, that enforcing the law is fascist, that demanding the safety of your own children is somehow “Christian nationalism”—a term that, hilariously, they now use as shorthand for basic common sense.

And when you push back? When you dare to call out their hypocrisy? Well, they’ll unleash their pharisees—men like David French and Mike Cosper—who will pen their sanctimonious screeds about how “we must be better than this” while cartel soldiers set up shop in your neighborhood and fentanyl continues to slaughter tens of thousands of Americans every year.

Here’s the truth, though. You are not morally obligated to let your country be destroyed. There is nothing Christian about allowing your government to aid and abet mass lawlessness.

There is nothing virtuous about turning a blind eye to trafficking networks that prey upon the weak. And there is nothing righteous about men like David French who tell you to lay down your arms while the enemy marches through the gates.

So the next time you see David French or Russell Moore shedding crocodile tears over the plight of criminal aliens, ask yourself these questions:

Who benefits from this chaos?

Who gains from open borders and lawless streets?

Who profits from the suffering of innocent Americans?

The answer is clear. And so is the solution. Deport them all.
