If You Support Exceptions for Anti-Abortion Laws, You Are Not a Christian

Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, leftists have come unglued thinking about the possibility of their religious sacrament of child sacrifice being taken from them. And honestly, the likelihood of that happening is slim to none—most Americans actually support at least some level of pro-choice ideology.

However, Christians do not.

Recent legislative actions in leftist states further highlight this demonic obsession. California, for instance, passed Proposition 1, which enshrines the “right” to abortion into their state constitution, ensuring that this barbaric practice is protected at all costs. Similarly, Michigan’s Proposal 3 was approved, which amends the state constitution to protect reproductive freedom, effectively codifying the so-called “right” to abortion. These are clear indications of the moral decay spreading through the nation, driven by an agenda that stands in direct opposition to God.

It isn’t just the pagan culture prancing around rallying for abortion rights, many of these progressives call themselves Christians and are masquerading in the Church as shepherds and sheep, downplaying the egregiousness of abortion, and making excuses for women seeking them. Religious leftists, like David French, who argued against the overturning of Roe. And Southern Baptist pastors, like Dwight McKissic, who supports abortions under some circumstances while ERLC leaders vehemently oppose any legislation that would hold mothers who murder their children accountable for that crime.

But a cursory look at what God has said about abortion makes it clear that there can be no compromise on this issue, no matter how strongly your emotions are influenced by the whims of the God-haters who love death.

Besides God’s commandment, “You shall not murder,” God’s law repeatedly demonstrates how God thinks about abortion:

“Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image.” —Genesis 9:6

“Whoever takes a human life shall surely be put to death.” —Leviticus 24:17

“‘Cursed be anyone who takes a bribe to shed innocent blood.’ And all the people shall say, ‘Amen.’” —Deuteronomy 27:”25

…Just to cite a few. It’s clear that God doesn’t take shedding innocent blood lightly. He is clear, he hates it (Proverbs 6:17).

So, as Christians, can we take a nuanced stance on abortion as these progressive so-called Christians, like Southern Baptist pastor Dwight McKissic and Veggie Tales creator, Phil Vischer, insist?

The short answer is no. The long answer is noooooooooooooo. The Bible is clear, there is no place in the Kingdom of God for murderers:

“But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” —Revelation 21:8

…or for those who give approval to them:

Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them. —Romans 1:32

So for all of those who support abortion, or for those who call themselves “personally pro-life” but “won’t force my morality onto others,” just stop calling yourselves Christians. For those who think there should be exceptions for the case of rape or incest, the Bible doesn’t make that exception. Therefore, God will not make that exception for you. If you are truly a Christian, then you have been saved by the blood of Christ and your heart and mind transformed to align with the mind of Christ:

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. —Romans 12:2

You know what God thinks about abortion, and if you choose NOT to believe what He has said about it, then you have not been transformed by Christ, your mind has not been renewed, and you have no reason to believe that you are a Christian—you are a blasphemer.
