Pro-life leader, Catherine Glenn Foster, an attorney and President & CEO of Americans United for Life, was recently grilled by leftists during a House judiciary committee hearing and demonstrated, inadvertently, exactly why the pro-life movement, led by people like her, is a farce.

Foster, who was questioned by the professional idiot, Eric Swalwell, attempted to get around her inconsistency in abortion exceptions by redefining abortion. According to Foster, abortion isn’t actually an abortion if it is performed on a 10-year-old.

“If a 10-year-old became pregnant as a result of rape, and it was threatening her life, then that’s not an abortion,” she said after admitting that a 10-year-old carrying a child would likely have a life-altering impact.

Of course, we certainly sympathize with anyone who is placed in such a difficult position, but there are two things to consider here:

One, redefining an abortion in an attempt to remove the stigma of it based on particular circumstances is more than just a slippery slope that can always be used against the pro-life movement, it is also inconsistent to do so. Abortion is abortion no matter what the circumstances leading up to it are.

And two, again, the circumstances aside, the child inside the womb is innocent and does not deserve the death penalty for the crimes of others.

While I hate the Democrat party and the movement that pushes abortion ideology (it is an ideology…even more, a religion), at least we can say one thing for sure, they are consistent in their position and are not ashamed of it. If the pro-life movement would be consistent, we would make the case that taking the life of an innocent child is murderous and unacceptable irrespective of the circumstances and those who are responsible for the circumstances should be the ones held accountable—not the innocent child.
