Have you heard of Living Faith Church in San Diego? You may have heard about XXX Church before. XXX Church, or X3 Church, was an online church that was started by a former porn star who wanted to help lead people out of that lifestyle.
That’s not what Living Faith Church is.
No, Living Faith Church is, in fact, the exact opposite. Living Faith Church recently hosted an active porn star–who is also an ordained pastor–to preach a sermon. Yes, to preach a sermon. The announcement of the event was posted on Instagram where they stated that you could come “be part of an amazing community that’s nonjudgmental, open minded, fun and loves Jesus.”

Now, most people would find this to be completely absurd. But by looking at the church’s website, it would be difficult to ascertain without serious discernment that this church was completely apostate. In fact, according to the church’s website, their official confession of faith is completely orthodox and lines up with what you would expect from a typical, conservative, bible-believing church. This is what the discernment community has dubbed “website orthodoxy.”
Imagine looking for a church in your community, pulling up a website like that, visiting it with your children, only to find out that an active porn star is preaching the sermon?
