Darlene Zschech is one of the most iconic Hillsong music artists who has been with the outfit for a long time. She has now left the Hillsong building, but in 2015 while she was still there, Zschech took a trip to the Vatican to meet the pope where she gave him glowing accolades and affirmed him as one of the greatest Christian leaders of all time.

Practically kissing his feet, she said that “to see what the Holy Spirit is doing around the earth is completely breathtaking” as this “ecumenical event brings Protestants, Catholics, and Jews together as we pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ.” Flabbergasted at the notion that any Protestant could ever look down on the false Church of Rome, she writes,

I was not there to judge, I was not there to become a Catholic, I was not there to sightsee. But I WAS there to lift up the name of Jesus.. without any hesitation or compromise.. for as I have learned over many years, that once Jesus is the centre.. anything can happen.

“So yes, I did meet Pope Francis,” Zschech declared, “And yes, I did witness something truly miraculous…Change is happening all over the planet.”

This just goes to show that what happens at Hillsong doesn’t always stay at Hillsong. And secondly, there is a lot of money to be made at Hillsong — especially in the entertainment business.

Recently, it has been reported that Zschech, and her pastor husband from Hillsong, have sold their iconic cliffside property at an estimated worth of over 4 million dollars. Warwick Daily News in Australia reports,

Selling agent Tim Andrews from LJ Hooker Terrigal would not comment on the sale price, but during marketing the property had a guide of $4-$4.4 million. It was purchased by a local family making a sea change from acreage.

With luxury touches sprawling across three separate levels, the 1258sqm property hugs the headland that separates Terrigal and North Avoca and includes state of the art home technology, multiple entertainment areas including a pool and barbecue area and several cliff facing balconies as well as a private movie theatre.

When you sell your soul to the devil of Hillsong, there is no telling how much of the whole world you can gain during this life. But, according to this one example, there is a lot.
