LifeWay Study Reveals “Racial Justice” and “Making My Life Better” Much Higher Priority Than Abortion For Evangelicals

by | Sep 26, 2019 | Blog, Politics | 0 comments

There is no doubt that the Evangelical Church has been overtaken by social justice. I hope those agitators and instigators are happy, this is the fruit of their works. They’ve laid aside the gospel for another gospel altogether — an inclusive gospel of works. A prosperity gospel, of sorts, which denies the transforming power of Jesus Christ in exchange for carnal desires.

A new LifeWay Research study shows that an overwhelming majority have exchanged true, biblical justice — a fruit of the gospel — for this new social justice of self-gratification. What used to be a top priority for Evangelicals has now been placed on the back burner by a growing number of progressives who’ve taken over the Church. The study reveals a number of things, including that thirty-one percent of Evangelicals now identify as Democrats who care far less about abortion than they do social justice issues.

The study reveals that,

In public policy, 51 percent of Evangelicals say that healthcare is a top priority while only 29 percent say abortion is.

What’s worse, however, is that when asked which presidential candidate they would support, only half of Evangelicals by belief (51%) say they will only support a candidate who wants to make abortion illegal, as opposed to these other higher priority issues, like racial justice.

  • personal integrity (85%),
  • making fighting poverty a priority (71%),
  • being a Christian (70%),
  • making the individual’s life better (69%) or
  • fighting racial injustice (67%).

Reformation Charlotte has not minced words when it comes to professing Christians who support Democrat politics. We firmly believe that one cannot be a true, born-again Christian while openly and knowingly supporting the godless policies of the Democrat party.

Reasons Why You Should Not Observe Lent

A Rebuttal to Kevin DeYoung’s Non-Confrontational Christianity

History has never suffered a shortage of theologians who chose comfort over confrontation, accommodation over courage. In the courts of corrupt kings and the halls of dead and decaying empires, there were always those willing to drape cowardice in the language of...
