Russell Moore’s George Soros-Funded Evangelical Group Attack’s Trump’s National Security Agents

Russell Moore is one of the heads of the Evangelical Immigration Table (EIT), a front group for the George Soros-funded National Immigration Forum (NIF) which calls for open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens. The fact that the Southern Baptist Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission head, Russell Moore, has never had to explain his association with George Soros is telling of the direction the denomination has gone. The Southern Baptist Convention is now primarily an outlet to propagandize semi-conservative pew-sitters with left-wing politics.

In a recent open letter to the Trump administration, Russell Moore and his Evangelical Immigration Table blasted border patrol and national security agents for the “mistreatment” of criminal trespassers who have willfully breached the nation’s Southern borders. The letter calls on the Trump administration to use tax-payer dollars to fund free healthcare, sanitation services, and quickly give legal status to these criminals who would otherwise “qualify” for it — despite the fact they’ve broken the laws and illegally invaded the country. All in the name of Jesus, of course.

The letter reads,

As evangelical Christians, we believe that all people – regardless of their country of origin or legal status – are made in the image of God and should be treated with dignity and respect. Overcrowded and unsanitary conditions are inappropriate for anyone in detention, but particularly for children, who are uniquely vulnerable. Jesus reserves some of his strongest words of judgment for those who subject children to harm.

Of course, no mention of the fact that the “unsanitary conditions” — which, by the way, are far better than the conditions anywhere found in Mexico or Central America — are actually caused by those who are being detained.

The letter continues,

However, respect for the law also compels us to insist that our government abide by U.S. laws and binding legal agreements that ensure protection for those fleeing persecution and particularly for children, a concern we also raised with the previous administration. This includes legal protections that provide for due process for anyone expressing a credible fear of persecution (whether or not they enter at a port of entry), that require unaccompanied children to be transferred from the Department of Homeland Security to the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services within 72 hours, and that direct that children should be held in the “least restrictive environment” possible. These important legal protections were designed to shield children from the sort of harm that too many have already experienced in their home countries and along their journey to the U.S., and they should be respected.

What they don’t answer, however, is why the U.S. government has a duty to provide any services to illegal invaders of our national borders other than deportation. The letter calls on the government not to separate children from their parents, yet in any other criminal circumstance, parents are separated from their children all the time. If a citizen commits a crime and is convicted, he goes to jail. He is separated from his children. Why is this situation any different?

Southern Baptists continue to fund left-wing politics and progressive political propaganda by giving to Southern Baptist churches without designating their funding. Is this really what you want to pay for? Southern Baptists should be aware of this ongoing onslaught against our national sovereignty. Pastors need to get off the fence and speak up.
