Christine Caine, Be Silent

I didn’t say it. God said it. If you have a problem with it, take it up with God. If you’re a believer, then you should believe that the entire Bible was written under the plenary inspiration of the Holy Spirit. That means, you believe the Bible is God’s inerrant, infallible Word. And if you’re a true Christian, then you must believe that you are obliged to obey God’s commandments. In fact, Jesus said that if you loved Him, you would obey Him. Christine Caine, God commands you to be silent.

The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.

1 Corinthians 14:34

You rebel against the Word of God and his commands. You are an ordained pastor in a Pentecostal Church out of Australia. Your church, Hillsong, has given so many a false hope. Not only are women not allowed to preach, but you preach heresy. You preach the prosperity gospel — an abomination to the true gospel. A false gospel by any biblical standards. Yet, you run around unashamedly taking the stage in front of both men and women, pretending to expound on the Word of God, while leading people away from the truth.

You work subversively. You mix truth with error. You teach people to engage in New Age practices like impartation by laying on hands. This is a dangerous, occult practice that is condemned in Scripture. You are incompetent at exegeting the Scriptures and you regularly twist them. You preach a lot of law — you admonish people to take up social justice causes — but you rarely, if ever, preach grace. You were caught plagiarizing another female author’s work in your book, Unashamed. And the woman you plagiarized wasn’t even a Christian.

But worst of all, you are part of a Church that gives so many a false hope. Your organization, Hillsong Church, is a subversive distraction from the true Bride of Christ. It is designed by Satan to turn people away from God by appealing to man’s carnal desires. Your church is a dog-and-pony show with music that ranks not only on the top of Christian charts, but secular. That should say something. The world loves your church, but God does not.

Christine Caine, it’s time for you to get out of the spotlight and go home to your husband. He needs you, and more importantly, you need Him. If you truly love God and His word, you will obey it. God’s Word commands you to be silent in the Church, not preach in it. And it commands you to learn from your husband if you desire to learn. Do you? Or do you just want to continue in rebellion?

Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.

1 Timothy 2:11-12

Surrogacy is The Childless Gospel of the Left

I ran across a tweet the other day that lodged itself in my mind like a thorn. It was from Genevieve Gluck, a name that occasionally floats across the radar of gender-critical feminism, usually sounding some kind of alarm about the degradation of womanhood at the...

A Response to Twitter Thread on Capital Punishment for Abortions

It started, as these things often do, with a simple question. A seemingly nice lady on Twitter—yet a representative of the typical emotionally charged illogical reasoning of the mainstream pro-life movement—wanted to know how I think my church should handle a woman in...

False Teacher of the Day #59: Kathryn Krick

While we here at The Dissenter along with other discernment ministries have been sounding the alarm on her for some time, any False Teacher of the Day series would be woefully incomplete without a full expose on “Apostle” Kathryn Krick. After all, this self-styled...

Defying Rome: Wear Orange on St. Patrick’s Day

Every year, as March 17th rolls around, we're smothered beneath an avalanche of green—green beer, green shamrocks, green everything—as if someone accidentally detonated a giant Leprechaun-themed confetti bomb. Amid this nauseating sea of verdant monotony, a dissenting...
