There has long been a push in the Roman Catholic Church for the Vatican to officially recognize Mary as co-redemptrix, however, the Vatican has yet to make this doctrine Church dogma, even though many, if not most Catholics actually already treat Mary this way.

But in a bizarre tweet by the pope on Saturday, he declared Mary to be the first “influencer” of God.

As the Catholic church has long committed spiritually fornication by idolizing Mary, it should be important to note that this statement is in direct opposition to what the Scriptures teach. Scripture emphatically teaches that God is subject to no other than Himself and receives counsel from none. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5).

For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counselor?

Romans 11:34

Who has measured the Spirit of the LORD, or what man shows him his counsel?

Isaiah 40:13
