Oh, you know that old adage about how “kids say the darndest things?” Well, so do these charismatic prophets—they are equally as ridiculous, if not more so. These self-proclaimed “prophets” spew out some of the most insane and nonsensical things you’ve ever heard.
You may remember when I wrote about Robin Bullock, the false prophet who claimed that a portal opened by a Southern Baptist pastor in Montana caused Trump’s election loss because Native American tribes hold some kind of mystical power over the land. Well, apparently, Mr. Bullock, being the self-avowed hero that he is, traveled all the way down there to have a little chat with the tribal elders and managed to shut the portal off, thus securing Trump’s reelection. If that sounds insane to you, it’s because it is.
But wait, there’s more. In another “prophecy” that takes foolishness to new heights, Robin Bullock claimed that Donald Trump was the second coming of David. Yes, the David of the Old Testament in the lineage of Christ—the same David who defeated Goliath with a slingshot. And why does Bullock make such a claim? Brace yourself, because this is going to be good. According to Bullock, Trump is like David because he used Twitter to slay his political foes, just as David used a sling to slay Goliath. Yes, you read that correctly. This is the level of logic we’re dealing with here. I mean, I can’t help but wonder if these prophets are inhaling some kind of hallucinogenic toad venom or something. It’s really the only explanation for such absurdity.
Well, here’s his latest. Bullock now goes on a rampage proclaiming that in the middle of a congress session, God’s glory is going to “invade the halls of congress” and all the demon-possessed congresspeople are going to “manifest” right there in front of everyone. Now, don’t get me wrong, I do believe that many of these congresspeople are demon-possessed—but I also believe that Bullock is demon-possessed. And, as Jesus says in Matthew 12:26, “And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?”
So if God does decide to expose the corruption and demonic activity in Congress, you can rest assured that it will be in spite of these self-proclaimed clown-prophets, not because of them. But our ultimate hope is not in that, it is in Christ, whose Kingdom is not of this world.
