Want to see what apostasy looks like? Then look no further than Johnson Road Church in Purcell, OK. Jeremy Coleman, the pastor at Johnson Road Church, has acquired quite a following on social media and has served on the pastoral staff at several churches in Oklahoma. A graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University, Coleman is now known on social media as “that pastor from Oklahoma.”
According to an “open letter” Coleman read on social media, he used to be a “homophobic” pastor. Colloquially, this could be translated as a pastor who actually believed what the Bible said about homosexuality. However, he obviously didn’t really believe it, because now, he has apologized to the LGBTQ “community” for teaching or preaching it in the past and has promised to now spend the rest of his life fighting alongside them.
From a former homophobic pastor, I’m sorry for every slur, every negative utterance, every uneducated statement, and every unbiblical response.
I’m sorry for all the times I made you feel less than, unworthy, unloved, or unwelcome. That was me walking in sin, not you.

I’m sorry for every church bait and switch, every time I said that you were welcome, but I meant you weren’t affirmed. For the proselytizing and the hopes that you would change your lifestyle.
I spent way too long fighting against you, so I promise to spend the rest of my life fighting with you.
“They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.” —1 John 2:19
