Earlier today, Reformation Charlotte reported that Francis Chan said Benny Hinn had repented right in front of him and then prophesied an anointing over Chan. In a shocking new revelation from Francis Chan, it is now apparent that who we thought was one of the worst charismatic false prophets in all of Christendom is actually a “godly man” with an office full of John MacArthur commentaries.

No, this is not the Babylon Bee or the Nod Daily News–Francis Chan actually says this.

Mike Bickle, a former Kansas City pastor, founded the organization known as the International House of Prayer in Kansas City (IHOPKC) after he claimed a man named Augustine approached him, and “prophesied” to his congregation with astonishing accuracy about the state of his church. Bickle later claimed to receive an audible revelation from God that told him “I am inviting you to raise up a work that will touch the ends of the earth. I have invited many people to do this thing and many people have said yes, but very few have done my will.”

Mike Bickle and his movement are in nearly-full fellowship with the Roman Catholic Church–as full as one can be without actually officially joining the Roman Catholic Church. And Bickle has affirmed the pope as a brother in Christ and a godly leader.

In short, Mike Bickle stands as the antithesis of everything John MacArthur affirms and believes.

Yet, Chan says that Mike Bickle, a flaming charismatic who believes he receives direct, divine revelation from God himself, is a fan of probably the staunchest critic of Bickle’s charismatic movement, John MacArthur, and has an office full of his commentaries. Now, if this is true–which this author finds hard to believe but could possibly be true–then Bickle’s purpose for having these commentaries, which are filled with refutations of charismaticism, could only be for the purpose of hardening his own stance against it.

But I digress, watch for yourself.
