Massachusetts Passes Legislation Mandating Radical Gender Compliance in Nursing Homes

It begins like all state-level poison does—with a bill number, an innocuous title, and a room full of politicians mugging for the cameras while pretending to care. Massachusetts House Bill 5033, draped in the glittering vestments of “healthcare reform,” tiptoed its way through the General Court like a wolf in orthopedic slippers. Our friends at Mass Resistance has also been covering this.

Under the banner of improving long-term care, it slithered unnoticed, wrapped in the warm, fuzzy language of compassion and oversight. Who could object to that? Who could possibly say no to better elder care? Only a monster, right? But like all expertly crafted propaganda, the poison is in the center of this Tootsie Pop, carefully camouflaged by empty platitudes.

Signed into law on September 6, 2024, as Chapter 197 of the Acts of 2024, rest assured that this bill has nothing at all to do with care of the elderly or oversight of their facilities. It’s about ideology. It’s about injecting a syringe full of radical dogma straight into the veins of every long-term care facility in the state—no anesthesia, no consent.

What masquerades as reform is, in fact, a gospel of madness, a Sodom-scripted liturgy dressed up in lab coats and latex gloves. Because hidden between grants and staffing incentives lies Section 72GG: the bill’s unholy altar to the cult of gender confusion.

This section reads less like law and more like the sermon notes of one of the PCUSA’s drag queen theologians. Nursing home staff are now required—under threat of legal action—to affirm every imaginative identity a resident can dream up.

Man today, woman tomorrow, dragon next week?

Nod and smile, or face the wrath of the Commonwealth. Facilities must not only accommodate men in women’s rooms and vice versa, but must also embrace a dizzying glossary of invented genders. Non-binary. Genderqueer. Demiboy. Two-spirit. Zhe… Zem… Zey. Whatever. Alphabetical absurdity with no brakes and no destination.

Imagine explaining to your 94-year-old grandmother that her new roommate, complete with a five-o’clock shadow and size-13 pumps, is to be called “she,” and any protest she makes will be categorized as discriminatory behavior.

Too bad, Nana. Massachusetts has spoken. Your instincts are illegal.

This isn’t governance, oversight, or care—it’s religious enforcement. The sacred scriptures of gender dogma have replaced reason, biology, and basic decency. The same bureaucrats who can’t coordinate snow plows in January now micromanage pronoun usage in hospice care. The same state that bungled pandemic protocols is suddenly your moral authority on gender theory. Orwell didn’t go far enough.

The bill commands long-term care staff to use residents’ “chosen names and pronouns” as though truth were some kind of costume party. Dissent is not merely frowned upon—it’s punishable. And technically, failure to comply with the new dogma could land you up to two years in prison.

The language of falsehood is now compulsory, and caregivers must become ventriloquists for the state’s delusions. It’s not enough to change bedpans, you must also change reality. She is now he. He is now they. And heaven help you if you forget which is which.

Think about the timing. At the precise moment our elderly are most vulnerable—some struggling with dementia, some battling isolation, some facing their final days—Massachusetts decided what they really needed was a crash course in the politics of pronouns. Not a warmer blanket. Not a nurse with time to listen. No, what they really needed was an ideological compliance officer standing over their shoulder, clipboard in hand, ready to audit their every utterance for signs of heresy.

And the contradictions?

They pile higher than the overdue case files at the Department of Public Health. We are told gender is a personal truth, yet its recognition must be enforced externally. We are told this is about love, yet it comes with litigation. We are told tolerance is the virtue, but there is zero tolerance for disagreement. Is this compassion? Or is this coercion in drag?

They’ve sheathed this dagger in the velvet glove of healthcare, but the blade is ideology. A worldview that prioritizes affirmation over biology, delusion over dignity, and doctrine over data. A worldview where elderly Christians must genuflect before the rainbow flag or risk being labeled hateful. A worldview where male-bodied men are invited into women’s spaces, and objections—no matter how reasonable or rational—are treated like war crimes.

We were told it was about dignity. We were promised oversight. But this was not oversight—this was overreach, overstep, and overt indoctrination. A front in the culture war opened not in the classroom or the university quad, but in the palliative corridors of our nursing homes. A regime of ideological conformity enforced with the subtlety of a sledgehammer.

House Bill 5033 wasn’t passed with genuine thoughtfulness. It was smuggled. Concealed within layers of legalese, baptized in the holy water of wokeism, and paraded past unsuspecting legislators too timid to say no.

It isn’t about care. It’s about control. It isn’t about health. It’s about hegemony. When the state commands you to abandon truth in the name of “love,” you can be sure that neither love nor truth survived the vote.

If Evangelicals Want to Become Catholic, We Should Let Them Go

Let them go. Really, let them. If your spiritual appetite can be satisfied by the incense-choked pageantry of Rome—by genuflecting before a golden cage of transubstantiated flour—then it was never Christ that you hungered for to begin with. If you're willing to trade...
