There’s an old saying about foxes guarding henhouses. It turns out the Presbytery of Western North Carolina has taken that metaphor and cranked it up to eleven, not just letting the foxes guard the chickens, but setting up a cozy little Airbnb for them right inside the coop. Because, in their infinite wisdom, they’ve decided that teenage boys—sorry, “girls”—should bunk with actual girls at youth retreats.
What could possibly go wrong?
The policy, officially titled the Child & Youth Protection Policy—because irony is dead—was adopted in 2020 and claims to create a “safe and secure environment for children and youth.” But in what world does throwing girls into an overnight cabin with a boys pretending to be girls constitute safety? This isn’t protection, it’s ideological insanity masquerading as inclusivity.
This document, which reads like it was drafted in the gender studies department of a failing liberal arts college, explicitly states that “transgender youth will be allowed to sleep in the room according to their gender identity.”

And just to drive the lunacy home, it adds: “While it is not required that a parent inform presbytery staff about a transgender or gender non-conforming youth participant, the Associate for Youth of the presbytery is available for such a conversation in order to aid the child in having a positive experience.”
Translation: we’re going to put biological males in female sleeping quarters, and parents? You don’t really need to know about it.
But it gets worse. If a young girl, who has been raised with the antiquated notion that privacy and safety matter, feels uncomfortable sharing a sleeping space or bathroom with a boy, well, she’s the problem. According to the policy, “If another participant expresses discomfort with sharing space with an LGBTQ youth, that person can use a separate, private space.”
In other words, if your daughter objects to waking up next to a boy who insists he’s a girl, she can go exile herself elsewhere. Her safety? Her dignity? Her right to basic privacy? Expendable. The only thing that matters is appeasing the woke priests of inclusivity.

This is what happens when radical queer theory infects institutions that were once at least many moons ago vaguely tethered to reality. The Presbytery of Western North Carolina, like the rest of the PCUSA, has abandoned truth for a membership card in the Church of Cultural Decay.
The same denomination that can’t figure out why their pews are emptying at record speed is bending over backward to accommodate whatever the activists demand this week. Boys in the girls’ cabins? Sure. Gender-fluid theology that makes a mockery of God’s created order? Of course. Apologies for all the centuries of so-called “bigotry” for believing men and women actually exist? Absolutely.
Let’s not pretend this is an accident. This is intentional. This is not just misplaced compassion—it is a calculated and purposeful submission to the spirit of the age. The leaders of this presbytery know exactly what they’re doing. They know this puts girls in a vulnerable position. They know this policy can be abused. They know that predators have been exploiting these very loopholes in schools, public spaces, and churches that have sold their souls to the cult of inclusion. And yet, they press forward.
There was a time when the church stood against cultural madness. Now, denominations like the PCUSA aren’t just capitulating—they’re leading the charge, laying the groundwork for a world that hates children and is fundamentally anti-child, anti-truth, and anti-God. If a church cannot be trusted to protect the most vulnerable among them, what exactly is the point of its existence? They’re certainly not glorifying God.
But of course, we’re supposed to pretend this is “progress.” We’re supposed to smile and nod while institutions that bear the name of Christ lift their middle fingers to Him. We’re supposed to believe that it is kind and just to tell a teenage girl that her safety is secondary to someone else’s delusions.
No. Enough. The PCUSA and these liberal organizations pretending to be churches have betrayed the very children they claim to protect. And in doing so, they have once again proven that the radical gender movement is not about inclusion—it is about erasure. Erasing distinctions, erasing safeguards, and ultimately erasing the very people they claim to protect.
The fox is not just in the henhouse. He’s been given a key, a welcome basket, and a pat on the back for being so stunning and brave. And if the hens have a problem with that? Well, they can go find another coop.
