In yet another alarming display of the complete implosion of public education, Rancho Buena Vista High School in Vista, California, has become the latest example of why parents must abandon these so-called schools—better described as ideological grooming centers—once and for all. What happened here wasn’t an oversight. It was a deliberate and volitional imposition of social engineering onto the classroom, disguised as education.
Imagine, if you will, a high school math class—a subject that should concern itself with equations, geometry, and algebra—turning into a bizarre theater of ideological pageantry. Students were instructed to stand in a circle and role-play as “gay” or “lesbian” as they begin their “coming out” process.
Oh, and they were forbidden to talk for the rest of the activity.
Yes, this happened in math class. The same math class where students are presumably meant to learn how to calculate interest rates, analyze statistics, or balance equations. But it’s California, and honestly, most of them probably can’t do simple addition and substraction. Instead, the lesson of the day was silence, submission, and simulated sexual identity confusion.
What’s awful is that this was part of an assignment explicitly designed to indoctrinate students, not teach them. “Each of you is now gay or lesbian,” they were told. Let that sink in. This was not a suggestion. It was a command. The students weren’t asked if they were comfortable with this exercise. They were simply told to accept it. Stand in the circle. Stay silent. Assume the role.

As one outraged parent stated during a board meeting: “There is nothing that it does other than groom children. It’s not okay. It’s disgusting and it should not be allowed.”
Watch:
This parent, like so many others, is absolutely correct. There is no legitimate educational purpose for this assignment. It does not teach critical thinking. It does not promote academic excellence. It doesn’t even pretend to be related to the subject of math. This is pure ideological programming, designed to normalize and celebrate one worldview at the expense of any others.
The parent’s frustration didn’t end there. When they initially called the school to confront the administration, they were told by the vice principal that the activity was not part of the curriculum. That denial might have been reassuring if it had held up under scrutiny. But when the parent pushed further, Principal Raul Villarreal contradicted the vice principal, confirming in an email that the activity was, in fact, part of the curriculum.
To add insult to injury, the parent was then contacted by yet another vice principal, who attempted to reaffirm Villarreal’s position. And when the parent attempted to follow up, making seven or eight additional calls to Villarreal, he was stonewalled.
The inconsistency here is maddening. Who is lying, and who is simply incompetent? Either way, the message is clear, public schools cannot be trusted to educate children, let alone safeguard their well-being.
We all know that this is not education, this is ideological warfare, waged on children under the guise of schooling. Parents send their kids to school to learn math, science, and history—only to find that the curriculum has been hijacked by activists with an agenda to push. And when those parents raise their voices, they’re met with deflection, excuses, and silence.
Ask yourself why this is happening? Why are schools spending more time on bizarre, intrusive role-playing exercises than on teaching the basics of math? Is it incompetence? Is it negligence? Or is it something worse—a deliberate effort to brainwash the minds of the next generation?
And for what? Are students walking away from this exercise better equipped to solve quadratic equations? Are they prepared to enter STEM fields or excel in higher education? Or are they merely being conditioned to comply—to stand in the circle, play the role, and remain silent in the face of authority?
It’s not an isolated event or a rogue teacher going off-script. This is the script and has been for a long time. This is the logical conclusion of a system hijacked by social and political activism. These places are not schools, they’re factories for ideological conformity, churning out students who are less informed, less independent, and less equipped to think critically about the world around them.
Parents, how many more stories like this do you need to hear before you take action? The public school system is not broken. It is functioning exactly as it was designed to in this current cultural moment. These institutions are no longer about education—they’re about indoctrination. And every day you leave your children in their hands, you risk their innocence, their moral clarity, and their ability to discern truth from lies.
Homeschooling is not a fringe option. It’s not an overreaction. It is, at this point, the only rational choice for parents who care about the intellectual, moral, and spiritual health of their children. You wouldn’t leave your child in a burning building because it was “convenient.” So why would you leave them in a system that is actively working to destroy them?
