Hate, Fear, Ignorance, Bigotry…
These four words are used by homosexuals (LBGHTQ+) to attack anyone (specifically Bible-believing Christians) who opposes their purpose: practicing their deviant lifestyle freely out in the open and spreading their message of ‘sexual freedom’ (and now gender choice), especially to children.
The homosexual “community” still claims to be persecuted victims of unlawful discrimination. But facts show they use their political power and agenda (through laws and liberal politicians) to silence their opponents, calling them full of “hate”.
A further analysis shows that these four words have been manipulated and twisted by this “community” for maximum political effect to defend their objectives which are sexual in nature. Biblical morality is not recognized, because as modern-day pagans the Bible is not important and irrelevant. Their beliefs are based upon the foundational principle of atheistic evolution: i.e. there is no God and no absolute standards of moral right and wrong. To them, “truth” is relative—if there even is any truth at all. But let’s consider an answer for each word they use in their attack arsenal.
Word #1 is “HATE”
For example, California’s radical pro-homosexual governor Gavin Newsom said recently (5/26/23) in a public tirade: “There is a systemic attack on the gay community happening across the country. Wake up America. This doesn’t stop here. Are you black? Are you Asian? Are you Jewish? You’re a woman? You’re next.” Newsom tries to link a personal choice decision about being homosexual with birth or race which are not personal choices.
The homosexual “community” claims (as their supporter Newsom said) that their opponents are full of hatred towards them. To them, anything said they don’t accept is ‘hate’ speech. When asked what this ‘hate’ means, their definition of hate seems to always include any suppression or denial of their sexual ‘freedoms’. They don’t consider that the word ‘hate’ has many definitions, some of which are a “distaste, dislike, aversion, revulsion or distrust of a person, group, belief, or philosophy”.
None of these definitions, in and of themselves, have specifically anything to do with an act of violence as the result of “hate.” Yet, they conveniently overlook their “hate” towards everyone who opposes their purpose and message. The hatred that homosexuals have towards their enemies is often visibly demonstrated towards people or groups who oppose them by breaking the law including physical violence with assaults, property destruction, and vile public conduct. Yet they call themselves innocent victims and never aggressors.

Now consider this analogy: picture a crewman on the Titanic who realizes that the ship is sinking after hitting the iceberg. This crewman has a duty, a responsibility as a human being to WARN the passengers and make them aware of the existing crisis they now find themselves involved in. A message of “The ship is sinking!” is a message of reality, concern, and urgency, certainly not a message of hate. The homosexual lifestyle is a “sinking ship” of physical and mental health destruction based on scientific facts, not emotional speculations.
And this does not even include the biblical warnings about its destructive nature. To show concern by warning people that this lifestyle is contrary to the natural order of God’s design for humanity and that practicing it will have emotional and physical consequences (e.g. suicide, HIV/AIDS, STDs, dementia, drug abuse, or even death) is not hatred.
Just as the Titanic had a deadly result for striking the iceberg, it’s not a message of hate to warn people rooted in this lifestyle, especially when that warning is based upon valid concern, not emotional intimidation. “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.” (Galatians 6:7)
Real ‘hatred’ would let the passengers on the ship sink to their doom without any concern or attempt to warn them of their pending danger, and then be glad they have sunk to destruction. That would be cruel and contrary to a Christian’s essential value to ‘love the sinner and hate the sin’. Remember that we are still to be “ambassadors for Christ” even if our message is one of warning: “And just as it is destined for people to die once, and after this comes judgment…” (Hebrews 9:27)
So if you’re ever called ‘hateful’ or narrow-minded, remember your mission as an ambassador for Christ is to warn, and offer the way of escape—the message of the gospel.
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.” (Romans 10:17)
