In the sobering words of 1 Corinthians 5:5, the Apostle Paul instructs the church to hand over unrepentant sinners to Satan “for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.” This truth reveals to us the gravity of unrepentant sin within the body of Christ, particularly such sins that are direct assaults on the Image of god.
When professed Christians cast votes for politicians, like Joe Biden, who champion the cause of death under the guise of “women’s freedom,” they are actively participating in a culture that hates God and hates people. This simply can’t be glossed over or dismissed as merely political preference as it represents a fundamental breach of God’s word.
This breach demands serious reflection and action within the church. Just as Paul did not hesitate to prescribe severe measures for the wayward believer in Corinth, so too must today’s church be committed to purity. We cannot shy away from calling out and disciplining those within their ranks who support death-cult policies and those who propagate them. This isn’t about mere politics, it’s a matter of upholding the Scriptures as such unrepentant sin demonstrates one’s spiritual state.
The church must act decisively to address this inconsistency, reminding all believers that their primary allegiance is to the Kingdom of God, not to temporal political entities. If anyone claiming Christ still believes it’s okay to vote for Joe Biden after his campaign to enshrine the “right” to abortion into federal law, this person should be excommunicated, not coddled.
