90-Year-Old Volunteer Gets Boot From National M.S. Society for Not Knowing What “Preferred Pronouns” Means

In the labyrinth of modern societal golden calves, there lies a thread, not so much golden as it is cunningly spun, weaving through the former sanity of traditional values towards a singular, covert objective: the dismantling of society itself. This thread, known broadly under the guises of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), purports to champion fairness and representation but sails a vessel with a far more sinister cargo. Its course is charted not by the stars of unity and mutual respect but by the dark compass of ideological subversion, aiming to erode the bedrock of our societal norms under the guise of progressivism.

At the heart of this movement is a not-so-novel strategy, dressed in the finery of modern social justice but rooted in the age-old doctrines of Marxism and class warfare. The DEI initiative, with its factitious noble veneer, operates under a simple, yet destructive premise—to dismantle historic and traditional structures deemed “oppressive,” replacing them with a framework that, ironically, excludes more than it includes. This approach abandons the guiding lights of mental sanity, objective reason, and valid logic, favoring instead a path that leads, inexorably, to the fragmentation of society.

In a recent manifestation of the “progressive” and “inclusive” DEI agenda, a 90-year-old volunteer for the M.S. Society, whose dedication to the organization spanned over six decades, was abruptly dismissed over her unfamiliarity with the concept of “preferred pronouns.” This woman, who spent her life in service to others, found herself cast aside, not for a lack of compassion, but for a perceived failure to align with the new lexicon of inclusivity. This scenario, which is all to common in our society of “progress,” clearly encapsulates the DEI movement’s grim irony—in its crusade for inclusivity, it exercises exclusion, punishing those who stand outside the immediate circle of its ideological enlightenment.

The volunteer’s confusion over the concept of preferred pronouns—a simple request for clarification—was met not with understanding but with a dismissal that demonstrates the movement’s underlying motive not to enlighten, but to enforce conformity. The narrative spun around her dismissal paints a picture of an organization that, while preaching the false gospel of inclusivity, paradoxically silences and excludes those who do not instinctively navigate the shifting sands of its doctrine.

The MS Society released a statement, stating that they stand behind their decision to let this lady go:

As an organization, we firmly believe that we best serve and support those living with MS by creating a space that welcomes all. This is especially true for self-help group leaders, who are responsible for leading meetings for people affected by MS to confide in and support one another. Recently, a volunteer, Fran Itkoff, was asked to step away from her role because of statements that were viewed as not aligning with our policy of inclusion. Fran has been a valued member of our volunteer team for more than 60 years. We believe that our staff acted with the best of intentions and did their best to navigate a challenging issue. As an organization, we are in a continued conversation about assuring that our diversity, equity and inclusion policies evolve in service of our mission, and will reach out to Fran in service of this goal.

This exclusion of sane people from society is not a bug in the software, but a feature of the DEI agenda, designed to dismantle and reforge society’s values under a new order. The irony is as rich as it is tragic—a movement that champions diversity and inclusion ends up marginalizing a nonagenarian whose life was a testament to selfless service. Sadly, we see even Christian organizations, from churches to seminaries, implementing these absurd policies throughout under the guise of “Racial Reconciliation” and “Kingdom Diversity.”

This particular episode is just one of many that reveals the DEI initiative not as a vessel of “progress” in the true sense of progress, but as a torchbearer for a radical reshaping of society, where sanity, objective truth, and the conservative values of service, dedication, and community are overshadowed by the strict obedience to an ever-evolving playbook of “inclusivity.”
