Bizarre Self-Baptism Festival in “Healing Pool” at Georgia Pentecostal Megachurch

Just when I thought I’d seen it all, the weird charismatics never fail to surprise me. From Bethel’s overtly strange healing rooms and spontaneous baptisms to Steven Furtick’s waterslide baptismal pool—okay, the waterslide baptismal was a Babylon Bee article. But it certainly isn’t outside the realm of Elevation Church’s terrible ecclesiology.

Yet, something else that ought to be satire, but isn’t, took me, even me by surprise when I saw it. It’s when Todd Smith, pastor of North Georgia Revival, posted a video of one of his recent church services that appears to be a spontaneous SELF-baptism service where people are just climbing in, jumping in, and dunking themselves under the water. Strange. So strange.

And by the way, why does the name “Todd” appear so frequently with heretical “Christian” movements? Todd White, Todd Bentley, Mike Todd, and now Todd Smith. Hmm. Must be synchronicity or something. Anyways, here’s the video:
