Apparently, it was a proud moment for Queer Kid Stuff writer Lindz Amer when Nickelodeon’s “Rubble & Crew” episode featuring its first “nonbinary” character aired. On Instagram, Amer enthusiastically declared: “I got to write an episode of Rubble & Crew… They brought me on to consult on the first nonbinary character—meet River!!” In an overt display of LGBTQ propaganda targeting children, Amer further cheered: “I wanted to write a nonbinary character that was aspirational and incredibly cool, someone for the pups (and kids at home) to look up to.”

Let’s not mince words here. What Amer and the forces behind the show have achieved is not just a new character introduction—it’s the systematic planting of a deeply ideological seed aimed squarely at our children. This move wasn’t a mere bid for “inclusivity,” it was a meticulously calculated strategy aimed at shaping the minds and, by extension, the futures of the next generation.

This is not simply an issue of “to each his own” or “let’s agree to disagree.” When a concerted effort is made to impart a specific worldview through children’s programming, the innocence of those children is at stake. It’s one thing for adults to debate issues of sexuality and identity—though there is no debate, God has settled the issue before the foundation fo the world. But it’s an entirely different matter when that debate is surreptitiously introduced into media aimed at impressionable young minds who lack the intellectual and spiritual tools to even understand the issues.

Parents, this is your wake-up call. It’s not just “Rubble & Crew” or Nickelodeon—this agenda is ubiquitous. From books and TV shows to toys and school curriculums, the targeted nature of this ideological push demands immediate and focused attention. Remember, these shows are watched by children whose cognitive abilities are in a critical stage of development. Their understanding of reality and morality is still being molded. Hence, it is imperative to be proactive in what ideas are shaping them during this critical and developmental time.

Make no mistake, this is not a passive consumption of entertainment, it’s an active form of mental and spiritual conditioning. In the case of Paw Patrol and this Rubble and Crew episode, Amer’s elation at being brought in to “consult on the first nonbinary character” speaks volumes. It suggests that the creators didn’t just stumble upon the idea of including a nonbinary character. Rather, they sought out someone who could help them craft this character in a way that would be most effective for their goal of normalizing aberrant views of gender and sexuality to young children.

This raises the question: what is the next frontier? If a spin-off of a show originally designed to entertain young children by showing teamwork and bravery among puppies can be co-opted into service of a perverted adult agenda, what’s to stop other pillars of childhood from undergoing similar transformations?

So, what must parents do? First, be informed. Know the content that your children are consuming, and research the creators behind them. Secondly, engage in open dialogue with your children about what they are seeing and why such things are inappropriate, of course, at a developmental level they can understand. Provide them with the tools of discernment to differentiate between constructive teachings and ideological propaganda. Lastly, remember that you are not helpless bystanders in this. You have the agency to turn off the TV, to choose different books, and to guide your children toward content that aligns with your biblical values.

In an era where the boundaries of childhood are under siege, awareness is your most potent weapon. Don’t underestimate the power of vigilance—in an age of seductive influence, it may well be the safeguard that ensures your child’s worldview remains uncorrupted. The battle for the minds of the next generation is being fought now, and the role of the parent has never been so critical. Be alert, be aware, and above all, be uncompromising in the defense of your children’s innocence.
