In the ever-expanding realm of self-proclaimed Christian leaders, few figures are as bewildering as Katie Souza. Armed with dubious teachings that dance on the fringes of Christian orthodoxy, she recently added to her repertoire of controversy by prophesying about none other than the Loch Ness Monster.

While the Bible instructs us to “test the spirits” (1 John 4:1) and to hold fast to sound doctrine (2 Timothy 4:3), Souza has ventured completely into sensationalism while diverting attention away from the true Gospel message.

During her “prophetic message,” Souza claims that she was taken by God out into the ocean to see the Loch Ness monster. The first red flag here is that the Loch Ness monster doesn’t live in the ocean but in a small lake in the middle of Scotland. Yet, she claims she was taken under the water to see the Loch Ness monster.

According to Souza—who clearly believes in the existence of the mythical creature—as soon as proof comes out of its existence, this will signify a global economic collapse. Oh, and she compares Patricia King, a well-known false teacher and blasphemer, to Jesus, saying that King “represents Jesus.”
