Poll: 61 Percent of Americans Desire God’s Judgment as Republicans Join Democrats to Codify Same-Sex Marriage

According to a poll by Pew Research, 61 percent of Americans desire the judgment and wrath of God to be poured out on this nation by codifying same-sex marriage. In Romans 1, we see a description of a society that has been given over to sexual immorality not solely as the sin that caused God’s judgment, but as the judgment itself. Now that well over half of the nation believes that same-sex marriage is “good for society,” the likelihood of ever receiving God’s favor in this nation again is slim to none.

Many Republicans in the Senate have now joined the Democrats to pass legislation that would codify and protect same-sex marriage at the federal level and Schumer believes he now has enough votes to pass the legislation without a filibuster.

Even the Mormon church, a false church but historically opposed to sexual immorality, has recently come out in support of the legislation. But where is the true bride of Christ? A former policy director for the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) director, Steven Harris, left the ERLC in 2018 to join and actively participate in the campaign to elect Joe Biden. What he should have been doing, if he were a true Christian, was actively opposing the Biden campaign along with any other leftist politics and politicians.

The continued silence of the Church in the face of active rebellion against God is not only judgment on this nation, but also on the visible Church. The Church and our church leaders desperately want to be affirmed by the world and the pagan society, therefore, they choose a pragmatic and complacent approach to dealing with the issues we face. Why? It isn’t because they actually have convictions about biblical truth, we know that for a fact. It’s because they have their own Kingdoms to protect, and by acting in a way that doesn’t stir objection from the pagan society, they get to keep their positions, their paychecks, and their power—God’s truth be damned.
