In the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, churches have been acting crazy, throwing temper tantrums, preaching sermons against the pro-life movement, and just all around coming out of the woodwork to expose who and what they really are—not Christian.

We’ve covered quite a bit of these stories over the past few weeks—use the search function and just type in “roe,” and you will be astonished at what you find.

But here’s something even more astonishing. A “worship band,” one with very talented musicians, mind you, decided to use their God-given talents not to worship God, but to blaspheme him and worship the creature rather than the creator.

ThereforeĀ God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, toĀ the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,Ā because they exchanged the truth about God forĀ a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator,Ā who is blessed forever! Amen. —Romans 1:24-25

During a “mourning” session of the Roe decision, a United Methodist church called Open Worship which is pastored by Jonathan Perry, decided to rewrite the lyrics to a popular worship hymn called All Creatures of Our God and King with some pretty blasphemous lyrics.

The song starts off pretty normally as you would think it should:

All Creatures of our God and King
Lift up your voice and with us sing
Oh we praise you, alleluia

But then quickly devolves into blasphemy and Earth worship:

Oh brother sun with golden beam
Oh sister moon with softer gleam
oh we praise you, oh we praise you
alleluia, alleluia, allelua

Dear mother earth, who day by day
unfoldest blessings on our way
Oh we praise you, alleluia

The flowers and fruits that in you grow
Let them God’s glory also show
Oh we praise you, Oh we praise you
alleluia, alleluia, alleluia
