After weeks of anticipation following a leak of the upcoming Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court has finally officially decided—Roe v. Wade has been overturned. The scourge and terror of violence that has been inflicted on millions upon millions of babies by the regime has come to an end—at least in some states.
“We end this opinion where we began. Abortion presents a profound moral question. The Constitution does not prohibit the citizens of each State from regulating or prohibiting abortion. Roe and Casey arrogated that authority. We now overrule those decisions and return that authority to the people and their elected representatives,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote in the court’s opinion.
Several Republican states have already enacted “trigger laws” that would immediately restrict access to abortion if the Supreme Court were to overrule the flawed Roe decision that guaranteed a “constitutional right” to an abortion. Other blue states have enacted laws to “codify” Roe v. Wade guaranteeing the citizens of their state a continued right to have an abortion.
Some Evangelical leaders including Southern Baptist Pastor, Dwight McKissic believe that abortion should remain legal despite the ruling.
