Marty Duren, a Southern Baptist pastor, and a contributor to both The Gospel Coalition and the ERLC, as well as to other leftist Christian-themed social justice activist groups, says that former president, Donald Trump, needs to be tried and convicted for sedition in the wake of the January 6 riots that occurred after the 2020 elections.

Duren has been a vocal voice on the progressive wing of Evangelicalism staunchly opposing criminalizing abortion and advocating for multiple leftist causes including defending and promoting Beth Moore preaching from the pulpit.

This should not be construed as a defense of shill for Donald Trump, but any rational thinking person can understand and see the witch hunt perpetrated by the leftists in the political realm. Why any person who claims to be a Christian could ever advocate for replacing a Republican with a far-left God-hating church-despising baby-killing ideologue-controlled puppet like Joe Biden is beyond rational defense—and certainly isn’t thinking biblically.

It shouldn’t come as any surprise that Duren has heavily invested his time into leftists like Russell Moore and organizations like the ERLC as these anti-Christian organizations do not operate under a biblical worldview—they prioritize social justice over the gospel. And let’s be real, the two are often, if not always, completely contradictory.
