I’ve heard a lot of ridiculous and outlandish stories from some of the worst modern-day Montanist heretics on the planet–from Kat Kerr to Todd White to Todd Bentley. These so-called “prophets” and “apostles” always have amazing stories to tell of supernatural events that happened to them–but there is not a single one of them that has ever been verified or even verifiable.

To be clear, when the real Apostles performed Miracles, they were done in such a way that everyone could see and no one could doubt. And they were done for the purpose of demonstrating to the world that Jesus was who He claimed to be and that the Words He spoke through the Apostles were authoritative.

None of that can be said for today’s phonies.

Duncan Smith, a self-described “apostle” and founder of Catch the Fire Ministries, recently told a bizarre story about how he and his team were “supernaturally transported” by God–their entire vehicle filled with a dozen or so people–to a remote area that he claims was supposed to be five hours away in less than two hours. Apparently, God picked up their van and just swooped it on through without them noticing.

Bethel’s Glitter Bomb Finally Went Off — And It Reeks

It’s a strange kind of grief—not the grief of surprise, but the grief of confirmation. The kind where you’ve been standing on the train tracks for years, waving both arms, shouting that the light in the distance isn’t the sunrise, it’s a locomotive—and then one day...

Are We Really Ready to Take On Obergefell?

I am seeing a lot of chatter recently about overturning Obergefell, and I get this strange, sinking feeling like we’re standing on a patch of mud yelling at the sky because the house is leaning. We point at the Supreme Court like that’s the engine of this whole thing....

Transvestite State Rep Calls on Activists to Storm More Churches

Last Sunday at Cities Church in St. Paul, a pack of Antifa activists barged into the sanctuary, interrupted worship, and chanted anti-ICE slogans while congregants sat confused or walked out. Their target was a pastor they accused of being a field ICE director. That’s...
