“Apostle” Says God Opened Door to Pentagon, He Walked, Generals Were Crying and Weeping as He “Prophesied”

One of the most nefarious movements in Christianity–apart from the woke movement–is the charismatic movement. The charismatic movement holds that the Apostolic sign gifts, such as tongues and prophecy, did not cease at the closing of the canon of Scripture, but continue today. Interestingly, the vast majority of those who hold this position also hold to other aberrant teachings such as female pastors.

In fact, nearly, every heresy that’s ever entered the Church throughout history has entered through the conduit of continuationism, or the belief that these gifts continue.

There are a number of people today who actually believe that they are prophets and Apostles. They believe they are just like the original Apostles who Jesus hand-picked to carry out his purpose in building the Church. To them, they think they have the same authority to perform miracles, receive visions and direct revelation from God, and speak in tongues.

But, they lie.

What’s worse, they lie about some of the most absurd and demonstrably false things. For example, one woman who believes she’s a “prophetic deliverance minister” says Jesus crawled up in bed with her and played with her hair as he was giving her a direct revelation. So dumb.

Now, a man who calls himself an Apostle, Demontae Edmonds, says that God told him to walk into the Pentagon and “prophesy.” According to him, God just opened up the door to one of the most secure buildings on the planet, he waltzes right on in, wasn’t confronted by security or arrested or anything like that, starts “prophesying,” and soon, he had generals just balling in tears and coming to Christ.

Charisma Magazine reports:

Through the vessel of his aunt many years ago, God raised up Edmonds as a strategic vessel, calling him to take the gospel into many uncanny places on this earth, including, of all places, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.

“I was praying, and the Lord told me to go into the Pentagon and prophesy,” Edmonds says. “And I said, ‘Go where to do what? Lord, they kill people professionally and can get away with it.’ He told me, ‘I’m going to open the door for you.’

“The door didn’t open at first, but the Lord made the way, and I ended up prophesying to a group of generals and high officials,” Edmonds says. “They were weeping and crying, and they received the word of the Lord. Things were accurate down to names. So that goes back into that marketplace where we have to be open as believers to step out of the box and bring God into some untraditional, uncanny places.

What’s sad about this is that there are so many people who would actually believe this. So many people get caught up in these dumb stories but they are patently absurd and, in most cases, provably false. Yet, despite that these men and women are obvious liars, most pastors are still afraid to call them out by name so that they can be marked and avoided like Romans 16:17-18 tells us.

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
