Iceland’s Fagradalsfjall volcano sits on the Reykjanes Peninsula in southwest Iceland on the divergent boundary between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. For the last two years, a series of earthquakes has led to unrest on the fault line causing a higher than usual amount of volcanic activity.
