Last week, an email was sent to Seattle Police Department employees informing them of a free appreciation dinner which was to be hosted by Franklin Graham. Graham is a staunch advocate of traditional marriage and a biblical sexual ethic.
On Friday, after a mob of gay activists intimidated him, Seattle police chief, Adrian Diaz, rescinded the invitation and told police department employees that they would not be partaking in the dinner after all because Graham does not support the “equity and just treatment of all people.” In other words, because Graham doesn’t advocate for and celebrate pro-sodomy sexual perversion, Graham gets canceled.
The chief’s memo rescinding the invitation was posted on the Seattle Police Blotter and read,
“An internal email was shared this week informing SPD employees of a free appreciation dinner hosted by the Rev. Franklin Graham. Based on Graham’s history and affiliations, the email has raised concerns that the SPD may not be committed to the equity of our community’s LGBTQ members. I want to make clear the Department fully supports the equity and just treatment of all people. The SPD did not sponsor this event and is not connected in any way to its hosts. Today I sent a department-wide email to rescind the invitation because its hosts do not share the inclusive values of the SPD.”

Ken Ham, of Answers in Genesis responded to the chief’s memo stating that if a Christian “believes God’s Word concerning gender & marriage, that this is hate speech” and that Christians are essentially forced to “reject what God clearly teaches.”
