Thomas Horrocks, pastor of Stoneybrook Community Church of God, is blaming Christians for popular hip-hop artist, Lil Nas–who recently released a video depicting himself in sex acts with Satan while selling custom Nike shoes that were filled with real, human blood–on Christians.
Instead of citing the world’s hatred of the Church because of their hatred of God himself (John 15:18), as a faithful minister of God’s word would do, he instead piles these lewd acts onto the shoulders of conservative Christians.
Horrocks, who, for whatever reason, thinks he’s wiser than God, believes that by kowtowing to the LGBTQ movement, we’re somehow going to attract them to the Church. Simply put, this is imbecilic and lacks no grounding in Scriptural truth. But for people like Horrocks, the Church–and not the gospel–is the means to God.
In 2016, David Uth, a gay-affirming Southern Baptist pastor in Orlando, FL invited homosexuals to take the pulpit to preach their message of “acceptance” and “tolerance” after the Pulse nightclub shooting. These effeminate pastors believe that it is the job of the Church to make Christianity palatable for God-haters which inevitably ends in serious compromise of the gospel.
