If you needed another reason to write off public schools as nothing more than leftist indoctrination camps, look no further than the Chicago Teachers Union.
On December 6, in a now deleted tweet, the Chicago Teachers Union asserted that the push to reopen schools is “rooted in sexism, racism and misogyny.”
This ideology, also known as Critical Theory which is rooted in Marxist thought, is prominent in the Democrat party which dominates the public school system in America. Teachers have been replaced with activists who, instead of teaching, inculcate disdain for Western civilization into the hearts and minds of young children by the continual, mindless repetition of socialist mantras.

The Chicago Teachers Union filed a request with the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board for an injunction to stop in-person instruction that is supposed to start on January 11. The scheduled reopening only includes students in pre-K and cluster programs at which age the children have been clearly shown not to be significant spreaders of the coronavirus.
School choice activist, Corey DeAngelis noted that “even if a school does reopen families should be able to take their children’s education dollars elsewhere.” He also noted that “the money is supposed to be meant for educating children – not for protecting a government monopoly.”
