You may remember the MLK50 Conference in 2018 where Southern Baptists gathered together to praise and venerate their saint of social justice, Martin Luther King Jr. who, despite his heretical theology and denial of the deity of Christ, was idolized as a “great Christian hero” for the civil rights movement.

Yeah, good times.

While Southern Baptists have continued to deny their progressive slide to the left, it is imperative to understand that men like Russell Moore, head of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, are not just leftists, they’re liars. And they were not placed in positions of power to serve the denomination — they were put there to advance a leftist agenda.

Russell Moore, a leftist ideologue and former Democrat staffer, has continually pushed for progressive causes. And his leftists causes, such as his push for open borders through his George Soros-funded Evangelical Immigration Table, has drawn the praise of Democrat Southern Baptists.

I think
@drmoore
 leadership
@ERLC
 has done more to strike a truly prophetic rather than partisan stance than any leader to date. And that courageous leadership has done more to make the SBC as biblically relevant, culturally inclusive, and gospel advancing as it's ever been.

But what Russell Moore has not admitted to, nor disclosed, is that his MLK50 Southern Baptist worship event was also funded by Islamic billionaire, Pierre Omidyar. Omidyar, who is the founder and former chairman of eBay, donated 100 thousand dollars to the MLK50 event in 2018.

The grant, according to Omidyar’s charity website, would “provide support for the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission’s MLK 50 Conference and the production of materials for continued engagement to attendees and the membership of the ERLC.” This same charity also gave 100 thousand dollars to the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association, 400 thousand to Sojourners, and 200 thousand to the Southern Coalition for Social Justice.

It should also be noted that around the same time, Russell Moore was using SBC funds to lobby the government of New Jersey to build an Islamic mosque despite the opposition from within his own denomination.

Now, one must ask the question: why would an Islamic billionaire want to “provide support” for the ERLC’s MLK50 conference for the production of materials for the attendees? Just look at the people who spoke at that conference.

  • Russell Moore, president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC)
  • H.B. Charles, pastor-teacher of Shiloh Church in Jacksonville and Orange Park, Fla.
  • John Piper, founder and teacher of Desiring God
  • Benjamin Watson, tight end for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League
  • Don Carson, TGC co-founder and research professor of New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS)
  • Crawford Loritts, senior pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, Ga.
  • Matt Chandler, lead teaching pastor of The Village Church in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and president of the Acts 29 Network
  • Jackie Hill Perry, poet, rapper and speaker most famous for being a black former lesbian
  • Eric Mason, lead pastor of Epiphany Fellowship in Philadelphia

Do any of these men preach the gospel anymore? Or have they lost their first love and turned the gospel into a social justice movement? Just think about that.

Check Out the New “Jesus Mecha Christ” “Transformer” Toy

A transforming Christ-meets-mecha toy? Yes, the “Jesus Mecha Christ” transforming toy actually exists. It's like someone sat down and said, “How can I mock both God and basic decency in one fell swoop?” This isn’t art or satire—it’s an abomination born from the unholy...

Christmas Hymn Review: Away in a Manger

Previously, I wrote an article calling for discernment while scrutinizing the lyrics of the popular Christmas song, Mary Did You Know? I knew it would be a provocative piece, as it was meant to be. However, my intent was not to dissuade you from enjoying these tunes,...

Christmas Song Review: Yes, Mary Did Know

Don’t Lose Sight of the Gospel in the Incarnation of Christ

Christmas is upon us again—the season of twinkling lights, cheerful songs, endless shopping, and, yes, Santa with his elves performing acrobatics on our bookshelves. The world, predictably, is consumed with the “season” itself, offering little more than cheap...
