Steven Furtick Think’s He’s Jesus, Says Satan “Bruised His Heel” as He Was Crushing His Head on Stage

Steven Furtick is more than just a false teacher. He is a demonic liar, a deceiver, and if anything, more like Satan than any angel of light he masquerades as. He preaches a false prosperity gospel and bilks his congregation for money. He has made absurd claims about not only the Scriptures but God himself such as claiming that God reflects his image (rather than man reflecting God’s image), that without man, God is just an abstract concept, and denies God’s sovereignty over His own plans. And just last week, he embraced the heresy of his close associate, T.D. Jakes — modalism.

Now, it’s abundantly clear that Steven Furtick think’s he’s Jesus as he applies the Scriptures that refer to Jesus to himself, taking his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God (2 Thessalonians 2:4). In Genesis 3:15, we see what’s called the protevangelium — that is, God’s first mention of the gospel and promise of a Messiah who he says will crush the head of Satan as Satan bruises his heel.

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”

Steven Furtick, like he normally does, blasphemes God and reads himself into that Scripture passage and elevates himself to the status of Messiah by claiming that he’s the one that crushed Satan’s head as Satan “bit” him and “bruised” his heel.

“I had a first time thing. I was stomping the devil’s head on the stage last week (laughs). It was at
the 9:30. I was icing my heal between the 9:30 and the 11:30. I stomped him too hard and he bit me,
or something – my heel is bruised.

“All week somebody said “welcome to your 40’s – you’re gonna start getting all kinds of stupid
injuries”. What a wonderful way to get injured huh? Stomping the devil’s head for the glory of god!

“Come on – I’ve got hurt a lot stupider ways than that. It’s hilarious; it’s hilarious to me – it was
funny to me.

“I used to get hurt punching balls and stuff, out of anger. I’d rather get hurt anointed.

“Anyway, the bible said he will bruise your heel but you will crush his head. That’s a scripture verse.”

Who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

2 Thessalonians 2:4
