Baylor, a private Christian university located in Waco, Texas, is known as the largest Baptist university in the world with approximately 17,200 students on its 1,000-acre campus and is affiliated with the Texas Baptist Convention, which is subsequently connected to the Southern Baptist Convention.
Baylor’s Truett Seminary, named after the Southern Baptist preacher, George Washington Truett, is more akin to something you would find in the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship than the Southern Baptist Convention. Theologically liberal churches, schools, and organizations–those which have departed the faith, like Baylor–are known for their compromise on biblical fidelity in the name of social progression.
This is why Beth Moore is able to stand in the pulpit during the seminary’s chapel service and preach to men–because Baylor University and Truett Seminary have departed the faith.
As she stands in front of a crowd of men and women, she lauds the idea that Truett would give her such a platform when other schools and organizations would not. And of course, her message–filled with self-gratifying fluff–was geared toward self-righteousness rather than obedience to the commandments of Christ, who said, “if you love me, you will obey me.”

Beth Moore revels in disobedience and rebellion. Yet, this led once commenter to apparently “repent” of her disdain for Beth Moore’s rejection of biblical authority:
This serves to prove that the seductive nature of questioning God’s authority has infected and permeated everywhere and it is only by the grace of God that we remain strong in the midst of a culture that hates obedience to the Scriptures.
