The head pastor of First General Baptist Church in Malden, Mo has stepped down after reaping the wrath of the very women he defamed in a sermon on February 21.

During that sermon, Pastor Stewart-Allen Clark preached that women need to try to be more like the “epic trophy wife of all time,” Melania Trump and that without make-up, girls are ugly and stinky, so “don’t be like that.”

“Now look, I’m not saying every woman can be the epic, epic trophy wife of all time like Melania Trump. I’m not saying that at all,” Clark said as a photo of Trump was displayed on the screen. “Most women can’t be trophy wives, but you know, maybe you’re a participation trophy. I don’t know, but all I can say is not everybody looks like that. Amen! Not everybody looks like that. But you don’t need to look like a butch either.”

Clark also implored the congregation to understand that a man needs to have a beautiful wife at his side.

“Ladies, it’s the way God made us. It’s the way we are. Men are going to look. He made us to look. You want them to be looking at you. Don’t let yourself go,” Clark said.

During that sermon, Clark also praised his wife for “working so hard” to be a “bean pole” as he thanked God for “make-up.” He also bragged about a friend who set a “divorce-weight” for his wife.

“One little boy said to the other boy: Why do girls wear makeup and perfume?'” waxed Clark. “Because they’re ugly, and they stink. You don’t want to be that. So wear makeup. It does miracles, miracles.”

Clark then justified men who commit adultery on their wives. “When you push him away, pretend you’re asleep, wear your body armor to bed, or your grandma’s nighty passed down to the second or third generation, that puts the fire out and his needs aren’t met. … And if you’re like that, your man still has that need. He can’t deny God made him that way. Your man still has that need, and he has to decide something. Am I going to stay in a starvation diet? Am I going to look elsewhere for that need to be met? Or am I going to live miserable for the rest of my dying days?”
